Creativity Is The Father Of Invention And Innovation by philipobiz: 10:26pm On Jul 08, 2013 |
I won’t bore you with detail. Am sure by the time you go through this you will likely start to think differently, Creativity can only be the father of invention and innovation if action is taken. Those who are inventors and innovators where not born to be so, they made themselves to be so. A lot of them where not exceptionally brilliant. At least this should give you some hope When I say they made themselves to be so, I meant they learnt it, some from childhood others at a certain point in their lives, some out of necessity. Unfortunately most of us are not creative. Those who are , hardly take action, hence their creativity dies with them. Perhaps these short stories might interest you. The inventor/innovator of sachet water used part of the money he made to build a big house within a short time and named it “Pure Water House” in Lagos. Why didn’t you or people think about it? Trust Naija now! Every new profitable business everyone want to join. The business became saturated. Surprisingly some are getting in now and are still making a fortune through innovative ideas to outwit competitors. We all know COCA COLA. There are two words that made the owner a billionaire and they are “Bottle it~ It is one of the most interesting stories I have ever read. I won’t talk about it please goggle it to find out yourself and put a short story here for us here. Next, have you seen what kids do at early age? Sometimes we don’t pay attention, we even stop them from progressing further. Please DO NOT KILL THE CREATIVITY OF YOUR CHILD. Please allow them to express themselves and guide them through. This is my personal experience with my kids. I thought of telling you as a vague story. It won’t make sense. My daughter just turned nine and my son is close to being seven. My daughter came back from school one day and told me she wants to start selling biros in school. Who among you will allow your ward to do that? Very few if any. If you think so let’s here you. I looked at her and asked her some few questions and she gave me more than satisfying answers. Two of them have to do with, why some pupils have no choice but to buy a biro from her. And how to attract them. She wanted a pack but we advised her to buy 25 to test the market. Guess what it was an instant hit. Now, this is about my son. I was amazed of how he was able to make a GSM phone from paper, even sliding one. I asked who taught you this and he said the sister. I asked can you make more. He did and they were beautiful. I asked what would you do with the excess, he said I will sell them for ten naira each in school, and he did. Please share yours too if you have one. Not to forget too are those who are creative and become inventors/innovators of systems and allow others to tap from it. Why? Because they believe that is the only way they can do little and earn so much. That is the philosophy and principle of Paul Getty. Now, let’s start cranking. I want to give you a teaser that will likely start shaping your life if you are looking for job or you are employed either self or in an organization. What do you think is one of the most highly sort after, highly consumable product that few people are involved in and can hardly get close to meeting the demand of existing consumers and would be consumers through your effort that you can start off with little capital and make a fortune out of it with little effort? This will get you into creative thinking. Those who read your post are free to analyse your answer. “SUCCESS COMES IN CANS AND FAILURE COME IN CANNOT” James Lee Valentine |
