Apple AAPL -0.59%‘s App Store celebrates its fifth anniversary this week, and Apple has some nice rewards for anyone that happens to be searching through the app store today. The company has put a suite of top-shelf apps and games on the ultimate sale today, knocking them down
Unsurprisingly, all of these now free apps have shot to the top of the charts. Leading the pack is Badland, a moody, stylized side-scroller from Frogmind. Also included in the gaming pack are Tiny Wings, Sword and Sorcery and Where’s My Water, all great games and all worth picking up even when they weren’t free. The biggest deal in the gaming section is unquestionably Infinity Blade 2, Epic’s Unreal Engine-powered hack and slasher that’s as repetitive as it is absorbing and gorgeous.
