Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) has described as fallacious the claim by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) that ACN’s governors in the South-West shunned the flag-off of the reconstruction of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway last week by President Goodluck Jonathan.

ACN, in a statement issued in Abuja yesterday by its National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, also said only the governors of Lagos, Oyo and Ogun were invited to the ceremony, saying it is inaccurate to give the impression that all the ACN governors in the South-West were expected to be there.

It said while Senator Ibikunle Amosun, Ogun State governor, personally attended the event, governors of Lagos and Oyo sent their deputies to represent them because both of them were out of the country at the time.
