Thought i read somewhere of an alledged cease fire signed between boko haram and the FG? Well if you ask yours truely i'll say we're being made to believe a like or its a trick to make JTF lose guard. Moral of story "never negotiate with a terrorist". |

Edison Blackson Better effort in tackling the menace of militants' insurgency lies in moral, vocational and entrepreneurial training of youth from kindergarten to adulthood. The nation's educational and training system for youths emancipation is porous. Our fight against terrorism in the country should begin with the root of the insurgency. It is not just Boko Haram or Niger Delta Millitants but millions of Nigerian Youths who are idle out there. Come! Can't government package a comprehensive vocational and entrepreneurial programme for youths. Again, let's take our memory lane to the dawn of the present democracy. Didn't we engage these youths in shoddy deals? Think about my points. |

Wsdm:Every kobo given to the military is accounted for. Every Kobo is used to procure equipment and to perform recruitment and training and to pay the salaries of the soldiers and to develop indigenous equipment and technology. So I don't see how the generals could be "enjoying" the budget, which by the way is still too little compared to that of small countries like algeria or egypt. And first of all there have been no cease fire. By the way, I don't see how you could have a cease fire with terrorists who spend their time killing children, and your suggestion to kill them only when they are killing children is despeakable. Did you actually say "unnecessary JTF agression" ? You are definatly a slowpoke. |

Sooooo, who where they shooting at for the eight full hours? And don't tell me it was the dead man and his supposed 20 year old son |

fujirice: Sooooo, who where they shooting at for the eight full hours? And don't tell me it was the dead man and his supposed 20 year old sonFirst of all, stop basing all your reasonning on sensationalist journalism. By the way the journalists contradict each other. Second of all, you should know that the article does mention that the men were hiding, depending on where and how they are hiding, it may take a lot of time to smoke them out. If you are not a specialist and do not have the details then its best you don't jump to conclusion. And no, they were not shooting for 8 hours. You people have lost your minds. |
Re: Boko-Haram Commander Killed In Sokoto by fujirice: 4:27pm On Jul 13, 2013 |
patriot4:My G, this people were SHOOTING for eight whole hours!!!! Eight hours and they called it a gun DUEL only to turn up one dead man a certain 20 year old. So, who were they doing the GUN DUEL with, just those two? Remember there's no where in the report where its says "some or most" of the sect members escaped! |

dramendra: If only two BH can last for eight hours, now tell me how come jtf claim to capture 50 + and sometimes claim to kill up to 100+ it means jtf will never win, co abukhaka is sure gonna last 1 year in a gun battle.. In btw can't we see their picture?Instead of encouraging them to do more all u can do is to criticize. Don't worry Boko Haram will kill one of ur family members then u will appreciate the kind of sacrifices military are making. Internet warrior 1 Like |

fujirice:If the military had bombed the entire house then there would have been civilian casualties and you would have said the soldiers are ill disciplined and are just as bad as the terrorists. The soldiers took their time and made sure no civilian was hurt, yet you are still not satisfied. First of all, it didn't last for eight hours and the soldiers were certainly not shooting during the whole period they where there. Stop basing your thinking on what journalists write to sell their trash. |

Re: Boko-Haram Commander Killed In Sokoto by fujirice: 4:44pm On Jul 13, 2013 |
patriot4:Wow! Are you saying the journalist that reported the event added "salt and sugar" to his write up? First of all, I didn't condemn the militaries action but for them to tell us that they were in an ALMOST EIGHT HOURS of FIERCE GUN BATTLE WITH THE TERRORISTS only to turn up a dead man and a 20yr old BOY leaves one to wonder who they were actually in the supposed FIERCE GUN BATTLE with. Understand me bro! |

Re: Boko-Haram Commander Killed In Sokoto by Nobody: 5:08pm On Jul 13, 2013 |
fujirice:Do I have to explain the difference between good and evil to you ? We all know boko haram, it is a terrorist organization which has vowed to kill all christians in the north and to destroy all schools in the north and to kill school children and their teachers. Boko haram has bombed, gutted and maimed and shot more than 4000 people in my dear country. It has put the economy of the north-east to a stand still, therefore putting the lives of the north-easterners at a great risk. If you praise boko haram then that is what you stand for, and if you don't know the difference between me and a boko haram sympathizer then you have just as little morality as a sociopath. |

Re: Boko-Haram Commander Killed In Sokoto by fujirice: 5:32pm On Jul 13, 2013 |
patriot4:And you conviniently left out muslim casualties as well. I don't support terror in any form or shape but what I stand against is the warped nature people go about this menace plus I am sure things are not as bad as it is being portrayed every now and then by the media and your likes(sorry to include you but thats how I perceive you) |
Re: Boko-Haram Commander Killed In Sokoto by Nobody: 5:53pm On Jul 13, 2013 |
fujirice:Where exactly did I not include muslim casualties ? I said boko haram had killed more than 4000 Nigerians in the most barbaric way. I never mentioned the religions of those killed. I also mentionned that boko haram vows to kill all christians in the north and to kill all school children and school teachers. If I get this right, the mere mentionning of the word "christian" is what you reproach me with. You think I should make this look like a civil war in which the terrorist are only misunderstood. You think I should identify them with one religion and say that it is a religious war. Well, you are wrong. I am a muslim. I converted some months ago. And boko haram are barbaric murderers and need to be dealt with. Everybody has the freedom to chose his religion and nobody has the right to kill and certainly not to kill christians and hide under a religion in order to gather sympathy from uneducated people. There are as much muslims in the army as there are christians and the people suffering the scourge called boko haram are the north easterners and most of them are muslim. So your subterfuge doesn't carry water. Stop seeing everything as being about religion. This is about good fighting against evil boko haram. 1 Like |

patriot4:i don't return insults, by doing so, we are then in the same category. Are you truly aware of Nigerian situation when it comes to corruption? |
Re: Boko-Haram Commander Killed In Sokoto by Nobody: 9:19pm On Jul 13, 2013 |
Wsdm:what does corruption have to do with fighting against terrorism ? And Nigeria is far from being the most corrupt country in the world. I know much more corrupt ones: egypt, libya, morocco, algeria, USA, france, russia, india, china,... Most people who do not know the Nigerian society tend to be a little bit confused: The corruption is within the police and politicians and judiciary. The military is one of the few remaining sides of Nigeria that is apolitical and not corrupt. But again all that corruption affects most countries in the world. But it seems every country in the world think it has the right to mind Nigerian dirty lingery, while its own is a taboo matter. Nigerians need to fight against corruption and Nigerians know it, but it is our fight and we certainly don't want outsiders to come and hijack it in order to make the money flow into their own pockets. It seems that the more Nigeria partners with economies like china and india and brazil, the more the west says it is corrupt. So in order to not be corrupt, you must partner only with the west! Open your eyes, Corruption:= west. Saudi arabia is the most corrupt country in the world, their entire economy is owned by one single familly, yet nobody shouts corruption; the same goes for Qatar. |
