Nice! When looters at the national stage (our elected leaders) have the same fear of being necklaced like street criminals then perhaps they will think twice before stealing the people's money.

I think so and may have stayed, close all the roads including links for not less two weeks. Otherwise, how can there be trouble. Foolish people according to Timaya, a nigerian musician.

The same hoodlums Bukola Saraki has been using to kill oponents and rig elections since 2003 are turning against him. Bukola is mortally afraid now of being silenced permanently by the thugs that he has used to silence others. Law of karma at play - the 20 feet high concrete wall fence around his new house in ilorin is pointless.

emmysenior: Revolution is imminent with the way things are going in Nigeria! Nobody gives a hoot about the welfare of the youths... All thanks to the business minded ones, even at that, some who nurture great innovative ideas can't put in to use cos of lack of availability of funds...

The dark cloud of revolution is gradually gathering in quick succession... The earlier they deduce it, the better for us all...

Meanwhile in Omu-Aran, Oyedepo is busy building an Empire of his Own.... cool
Igbomina are simply not united! They sleep for 3 years and wake up 3 months to election to campaign. Oyedepo and co. Sucks. Kwara politics is all about food sharing

Saraki (father) literally willed the state, almost like a feudal fief, to son Bukola, former governor and now senator representing Kwara central senatoral district.

The Tertiary Education Commissioner, Muhammed Lade, canvassed an argument that affronts the human dignity of Kwarans: “if it is possible to rename Kwara state as Olusola Saraki State, I think Baba Saraki deserves it.
All of us sitting here today and those of us not here, Baba has contributed one way or the other to what we are today (SIC)”. These are thoughts befitting of a modern slave not a decent, self-respecting citizen!

In truth, there is a frightening Saraki personality cult, but an even more virulent variant has been deliberately constructed around Bukola Saraki, since his father’s death.
Those who claim him as “leader” have become a mob running riot against whoever disagrees with their “sovereign”. None could dare to think that in eight years of power, Bukola made good in Kwara.

There has also opened a new front of conflict within the politics of Kwara state as presented in the undeclared war between Bukola Saraki and Prof. Oba Abdulrahim, Chairman of the Federal Character Commission. When Abdulrahim’s tenure came up for renewal, Bukola opposed it, as always, never wanting a citizen of the state, but especially an Ilorin indigene, to be in a prominent position for long.

However, a new calculus entered the political equation.

The presidency has become completely exasperated with Bukola’s undisguised opposition. His preferred candidate, former Senator Ahmed Muhammed was rejected and Prof. Oba was re-apointed, to Bukola’s chagrin. He then mobilised the PDP machinery in the state to protest Oba’s re-appointment and he is poised to ambush Prof.Abdulrahim’s clearance in Senate.
But the presidency is also taking the battle to Bukola, with rumoured plans to seize the Kwara PDP machinery from him, while they also want to knock him off the perch of his controversial senate seat. There is disquietin Bukola Saraki’s camp, even as his sidekicks continue releasing abusive texts and tendentious articles against Professor Oba.

But the most difficult problem that Bukola faces today is the deep anger of the Ilorin elite, organised in the Ilorin Emirate Descendants’ Progressive Union (IEDPU).
Things were not helped when he allegedly challenged IEDPU to square up with him on the field if it was contemplating entering politics, during an Umrah pilgrimage. IEDPU’s anger mirrors the increasing frustration of people in Kwara with the arrogance of this young man who deludes himself as “leader".

But people are becoming more conscious and the politics of manipulation of poverty to retain control, long his dynasty’s preferred style, is dissembling.
Our pretentious emperor is being found out to be naked!

Bukola Saraki has a loyal mob around him that continues to shout to the roof top that he is “leader” and they are willing to forcefully coral others to join their hysteria, but deep down, the young man knows that he faces the political battle of his life in the coming months and years.

bilms: SARAKI ESCAPE BEING LYNCHED BY ANGRY YOUTHS

Senator Bukola Saraki escape being lynched yesterday in ilorin, the kwara state capital.

The incident occurred around 5:00 pm at Pakata area,in Ilorin west Local Govt.

According to an eye witness, the former Governor was said to have organized meaningless empowerment in the area which angered the youths and caused the distributed materials ended up being destroyed.

It was stated that,The former governor, son of the late Waziri of Ilorin who is anxious of becoming an undisputed leader like his father narrowly escaped being lynched.

Who is after Senator Bukola Saraki?

Again, the peace of Omu-Aran; headquarters of Irepodun local government area of the state was at the weekend threatened when the former governor of the state, Dr. Bukola Saraki mobilized everything to the town at the instance of Hon. Akeem Aiyedun who was distributing some items for his constituents.

Some of the items were motorcycles, grinding machines and others. The event was billed to share largesse realized at the national assembly by the legal practitioner turned politician.

Barely few minutes into the programme at the present of the former governor, thugs disrupted the programme and carted away motorcycles and other items. It was difficult for anyone to resist as this was done by gun wielding thugs. They shot sporadically, while everyone became helpless.

It’s funny how rumour spreads like wildfire. I was present at the event and am shocked that what is written here is a total misreprsentaion of what went down.

I was invited by a friend and to start with, the event was organised by the present Commissioner for Justice of kwara state; Barr Kamaldeen Issa Ajibade. The intention is to empower youths in the ward where he came from which is Ilorin west. And from what i heard several people say during the event, they said such has never happened in that Local government. And they were glad that someone could give back to the society which he belonged.

The presence of Saraki was just to honour him as a reputable political icon in the state and also to bridge the gap between people in the grassroots whose voice cant be heard... We all know that these people suffer cos there’s no one to represent them in the state and federal level. So i think it’s cool that he’s giving his people a voice to be heard.
Various items given out to beneficiaries are Bikes, Sewing machines,Pop corn making machine,Grinding machine, Building materials for bricklayers, carpentry materials for carpenters.
It’s true that thugs n touts invaded the place but they dint cart away with any of the materials. They were just making noice and demanding that they should be given bikes too.

Several beneficiaries got scared and pleaded to the Commissioner that they’ll prefer to come for their items elsewhere because the thugs would collect whatever they were given after the Commissioner and Saraki had left. So they took all the materials back in trucks and asked the beneficiaries to come or them later. Below are some pictures i took personally at the scene of the event.

I’ll find out if the stuffs have been handed over to the various beneficiaries and get pictures if possible. Pictures speak volumes!
