Please I need a little info on 2004 Acura TL from any that uses the car.
What are the issues associated with the car as I love this car and I am planning to buy one soon. I need contribution from any body who know much about the car, what are the maintenance like, the availability of parts such as automatic drive train and the engine. Thank you.

Hi, I will advice against the 2004 edition of This TL,it is fraught with many problems especially trans(search Google 0 but most of it model problem were resolved in the 2006 upward editions. I ride on the last of the model (2008 model) and it is simply a luxury experience

Thank you for the info. I see quite a number of this brand moving around and the ones displayed for sale on the internet are with high mileage reading, some as high as 240k. This makes me wonder if the vehicle has transmission issues how could it have attained such high mileage. Any body with personal experience with the brand is highly welcome to contribute especially as per maintenance/mechanics in Lagos. Thank you.

The 2008 edition which I use is quite a rich experience.don't wanna trade it for any other brand for now
fuelling, quite high in Lagos traffic but excellent while travelling
Repairs, any Educated Tech-mechanic that work on Honda will work on it
parts- Experience has taught me to buy my own part online (Even Oil Filter)
On the Transmission Issue, it is limited to 2004-2005 Edition. The trans issue was solved in 2006 upward

But I will still sternly advice that you stay off the 2004 Edition

Major problem is Transmission issues. Maintenance
will go a long way in preserving your new
transmissions. A simple drain and fill every
20,000 to 30,000 miles, using only genuine
Honda fluid, will maximize your tranny life
expectancy. If you haven't maintained your
transmissions prior to this, you probably better
start.
