Members of the Africa Caribbean Parliamentary and European (ACP-EU), Joint Parliamentary Assembly (JPA) from the West African region and their European Parliament counterparts held a regional meeting in Abuja, from 17 to 19 July, 2013, where they agreed that all illegally sourced crude oil from Africa, particularly Nigeria, should not be bought in Europe. The members also expressed concern at the high rate of oil thefts, wastage and illegal bunkering which have led to substantial revenue losses and environmental degradation, calling on the Nigerian government to put in place appropriate mechanisms and measures to fight against this organized crime.To continue click here:http://www.mydailynewswatchng.com/2013/07/22/halt-buying-nigerias-stolen-oil-acp-eu-parliamentarians/
