Buckingham Palace confirmed Monday morning that the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, went into labour between 6 a.m. and 7 a.m. British time. A new bulletin released at about 8:30 a.m said the birth was “proceeding naturally.”

Queen Elizabeth will be the first to hear the news from William on an encrypted telephone line.

The baby will then be announced to the world.

Kate and her husband, Prince William, arrived unseen at the private Lindo Wing, Paddington, with William apparently at the wheel, rather than a police escort. However, there is a large uniformed police presence at the hospital.

Now, the final wait for a baby that will be third in the direct line of succession to Queen Elizabeth begins. When Princess Diana gave birth to William 31 years ago in the same ward, her labour took 16 hours. It is generally thought that first births take longer for a new mother than they do for mothers having the second child.

Damn it! Not this again!!! I guess it was inevitable, I was hoping this time never came.

I'm sick and tired of all these royal frenzy and noise, the media have perfected their game of embellishing the royal family, brainwashing the gullible and packaging them as gods.

What a nation of blind sheep

Even the cleaner would hear before the queen. Mama Charlie would not be in the Labour room the nurses doctors and cleaners would see the baby 1st. All these their royal yeye protocol, Prince William will call her on an encrypted phone to tell old news. Wen the people for labour room don hear and see finish.

You are getting excited over the baby of imperialists who don't know you, do you know what that royal family represents? I hope you will be this excited if its your relative.

Btw, it's a girl, they are just covering it up, the signs have been there.

Better get used to it. The royal family still controls a quarter of the world and the Queen is still the head of the UK.

I just saw a few black people also waiting outside St Mary's hospital. grin
