@ anylove I agree with you when you said west africa (at least the region south of the sahara) is out of the question. Also south africa tbh as they have a problem with xenophobia among other things which I will keep to myself. @anylove and kandikane this is kind of offtopic but still another example of our "baggage"...listen to the dark skin oloshi. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-hvWQL72l8A I agree with him in some ways but his overall attitude of hate and even not accepting his lineage is not unique to him only. *Kails*: I know several people like this, but honestly, most of the times I find the anger is a front for repressed emotions. Anytime I see folk like Seti, I chuckle. To most people he looks like this strong militant wise brother. To me, its obvious he is masking frustration with anger. If one or two African countries get their act right, and are respected as equals among nations, you will be surprised how many blacks will suddenly embrace their African heritage. |

birdman: @bold thats very true. Btw it wasn't seti who said that, it was "hebrew warrior" or some crap like that. Seti is actually pro black/africa and can't stand the so called "hebrew israelites" who despise africans, and do not believe that we came from africa lol. I dont think africa becoming more "western" would help change the mentalities of black people. There are several videos on youtube showing "the africa we dont se on tv" and yet ppl are still thinking the way they do. We have got to focus on changing our thought processes. We need to bring up the self esteems of our children, learn to be proud of who we are (as caribbeans, AAs, and Africans), stop accepting being average, STOP COMPARING OURSELVES TO WHITES (and other races) and learn to be tolerant to each other.
