Why Does Phcn/nepa Always Interupt Power Supply When Its Raining? by cumpaddre(m): 7:10pm On Jul 26, 2013 |
Hey guys!! I'm not too sure about what section to post this topic, so I'm pleading with the MOD's to please help me move it to anywhere appropriate. This is a question I always ask once Power is interrupted because of rainfall, sometimes even when there's very "light" rainfall, our lovely PHCN won't hesitate to seize power supply. I just have 2 questions to ask; 1. Why is it a norm that electricity must be interrupted when there is rainfall. 2. How does PHCN know when it starts to rain in different places at different times Your additions and comments will be appreciated. |

I dont think those who switch off the power supply are Nigerian ir human beings, abi the switches switches of itself. What do they gain by the constant interruption, most of them are inexperienced, unlearned and corrupt, coupled with inefficiency |

Well another factor is that most of our poles are standing on d road sides and shout heavy rains pull 'em to d ground it can take weeks to fix 'emback.. Unlike overseas where their power lines are underground and the devastating effects of rains can hardly be felt! |
