Yes!........We all know that Security Issues in Nigeria are as important as the food we eat!

Yes!......if God does not watch over the city, the watchmen are doing it in Vain!.....BUT,as human being and as a great nation (that we always claim to be), it is NOT a bad idea if we have a GENERAL EMERGENCY Call Number that unifies all security agencies managing
Human, Materials and Properties as entities.

Who knows if we have had this number,POLICE and all other security agents, on the issue of BOKO haram would have been helped enormously!

Many lives could have been saved in this country if we have Police Emergency line to be called when we are faced with the case of CRIMINality......same way, this extends to all other good areas we need such reserved call numbers!

Some countries and their emergency numbers are listed below for your perusal.
USA- 911
European Union, Russia,Ukraine & Switzerland - 112
London (1937)- 999

Exception!
Nigeria(Federal Road Safety Corps ONLY)- 122

AFRICA Police Medical Fire
Algeria: 17 14 14
Cameroun: 17, 119,18
Chad: 17,-,18
Ghana- 191,193,192
South Africa- 10111, 10177, 1011.

(just to mention few!)

pls, great people of nairaland
1. Who is responsible for creating emergency number??
2.do we really need one in Nigeria?
3.What are the problems militating against this development??

Pls, contribute!
