nig2change: I felt happy for once again we are developing technologically. Our military institutions are healthly trying to outdo the other. Here is the real image of the robot. It is remotely controlled and has night vision. http://beegeagle./
sure Nigeria is developing, with so many students at home, they should try something creative rubbish

That abroad you are quick to refer to is someone else's own local thing.
They did not travel to anywhere to develop it.
The only sustainable development/innovation is that which is developed locally.
Imported technology doesn't take you anywhere. By the way, did you ever see the first prototype of any robot ever produced? You sound like a broken radio, oh! sorry. I forgot there are so many under-aged peeps on NL these days. Grow up man!
Re: The Real Picture Of Made In Nigeria Robots. by lagerwhenindoubt(m): 1:21pm On Jul 29, 2013
better late than never.. yes Nigeria is known for its size (in everything good and bad) but we should give it to the young men who thought it wise to increase their knowledge of technology, even if it is a lowly robot that compares with a toy bugger a 4 year old plays with. it is knowledge earned and can only grow with time. they have started a wonderful trend.

If the focus of our researchers including the numerous paper/ certificate professors are technology driven then The west would be asking for advice from us. Professor Jonathan Nok in 2011 won the NLNG price and Presidential Nigeria Merit Award price for Science. he discovered the enzyme (sialidase) that catalyses the parasite that causes sleeping sickness. He is now involved in the production of DNA vaccine for sleeping sickness through the success of his research. A professor of medical biochemistry. Teaches at ABU.

You must be a millionaire or outside of nigeria mugu... Dead country like nigeria

nig2change: No matter how people feel about these developments, this is how great countries started. We are really developing local technology. Most Nigerians are very impatient. Take it or leave it. Nigeria is really on course under this regime. We remain the pride of black race.

see the mentality we have in nigeria? What makes you think we cannot develop this and make it new school (our own way) that others would have to imitate?

This device was donated last week by the US government as part of effort to help our security agencies detect and diffuse IEDs used by terrorist groups. Right step in right direction I guess.

OK. The ROBOTS might be of help to our Soldiers currently at the Gwaza mountains with the Boko Haramist!
How I wish it could, because they are having it real tough there. The BH being conversant with the terrain are giving the both the civilians and the soldiers a hell of time. After their atrocities on the public, they run into the mountains to hide. The soldiers now fly over the mountains to search for them. While the BH equally try shooting them down! Good God!! Honestly I cant believe this is happening in Nigeria in general and Gwaza in particular!!!
My point is that, rather than flying, the robots be used instead!!!!
