SUMMARY: We did not Deport the 67 people back to Anambra, we simple re-united the under aged 18 years back to their families, it's against the law to deport Nigerians within Nigeria. And it's not against international law to re-unite under 18's with family but within the confines of the law with the courts backing to hold them get in touch with the social welfare of their states, and family before re-uniting them. It's the only humane way to protect them", -Dr. Badiru, Special Adviser Lagos Ministry Of Youths & Sports. 1 Like |

Beggars wanted a ride home and they got it. How is that deportation. Why are other states complaining. Use your money wisely and your people will stay at home. Lagos cannot carry the burden of other governors who misappropriate state money. 21 Likes |

MY TAKE: The only difference between international law and Nigeria is the imaginary boundary created by the British. . As for me, I give kudos to Fasola for what he did. Nigeria is an international union of many Nations. .. just like ECOWAS. 4 Likes |

God is the ultimate judge. You deported grown men who said they were from Ebonyi state to Anambra now you come here to twist and turn things to your favour. BTW Seun, this tribalism that Nairaland is promoting should STOP. You should use Nairaland to promote peace and unity as a patriotic citizen and not insult and degredate other tribes. Rule number 3 should be followed to the letter. 29 Likes |

^^^ Yoruba's have been taken back home as well. SO why all this noise? What are mentally ill people and beggars doing far away from home. At most, they should cue in front of aso rock. Not be running around dangerously on lagos express ways. 13 Likes |

baby_123: ^^^ Any proof that Yorubas were taken back home? How is a mentally Ill person able to state his place of origin. Pls let us be objective. This is still one Nigeria and until we divide every citizen is free to reside anywhere, mentally Ill or not. 7 Likes |

Let it be noted that at the risk of sounding platitudinously humdrum,we have asseverated for the upteenth time, that the convocation of a sovereign national conference for purposesof interrogating the odoriferous vaudeville of our national jeremiad, remains the only potentand efficaciously utilitarian paspartou out of our cascading national sirocco but alas, disdain complacency to say the least and at best Olympian pococuranteismand the tedium of prescriptive poco a poco is what we have been greeted with by intellectual philistines, hig h priests of a prebendal state and their opprobrious agents...LOOK AM NOW?If this is indeed true, many more may follow and this deposits me in a state of heebie jeebies. 7 Likes |

Fashola must think Nigerians are idiots, anyway, forcefully reuniting children with backing is ILLEGAL. This is not how its done, so let him go sell his story to folks who will believe him. 4 Likes |

Ofonagoro : As much as I agree with you, and I wish they will list, however, it does not excuse the illegal actions of Fashola. Nigeria is a sovereign nation, Lagos isn't but a state subject to Nigerian Constitutional Laws, and what Lagos did is WRONG. 5 Likes |
