...of course what else wld you expect, after Tinubu and his gang of APC governors paid a solidarity visit to the boko haram enclaves, making huge donations and then seeking for amnesty for the terrorists, they easily assumed or as was planned with Tinubu & co,that the safest way to escape from the long-arms of justice,is for them to run to the south-west!Kudos for the ever proactive president Goodluck Jonathan and the army...God pass them. 19 Likes |

^Did the JTF not arrest 9 Boko Haram suspects in a building in Lagos belonging to the Bayelsa State Government? I am sure you are one of the frequent whiners whenever LASG deport/relocate illegal aliens, miscreants and wanderers from other parts of the country to their States of Origin/Regions, insisting that it violates citizens Right to Freedom of movement. Are you aware that GEJ constituted an amnesty committee headed by a serving minister and some PDP not APC stalwarts as members? @topic- the security agencies should intensify their effort, and do all within the ambit of the law to stop the infiltration of criminals from strife-torn states and illegal immigrants from neighboring countries into the SW. 10 Likes |

Ofebuffoonery a new word to describe them. awolowo would have not endorsed this if he was alive. He was a leshend but passed away unfortunately Why is boko haram gradually infiltrating lagos now? Jesu christi lobami oooooo...... lagos is about to witness army invasion if care is not taken (otapims). I pray UPN can be revived so that awolowo's legacy can be rebuilt Nigerians i urge you all to unite and stop bickering. Does anyone in the house know the definition of OTAPIMS? I just googled it but it seems to be a acronym for organisation of transatlantic something. Please explain. 1 Like |

Former Governor of Abia State, Chief Orji Uzor Kalu, has given the Lagos State Government a seven-day ultimatum to apologise to the 67 persons of Igbo ethnic nationality allegedly deported from Lagos to Onitsha in Anambra State or he would head to court to defend their interest. Kalu said there was no law in the country, which empowers a state or governor to deport any Nigerian to any part of the country. In a statement made available to THISDAY Monday, Kalu said there was right to freedom of movement for every Nigerian as enshrined in Section 41 of the 1999 Constitution. While describing the action of the state government was lawless and vexatious, the former governor equally condemned it in strong terms, saying it threatens the corporate existence of the country. Besides, the former governor argued that it was an open secret that the Igbo contribute about 55 per cent to the Lagos economy. “It is appalling to learn that the deported Igbo were even detained in Ikorodu for about six months before their illegal deportation. “They were taken to Onitsha in four buses, escorted by anti-riot policemen," he said. One of them, Osondu Mbuto, a trader from Ohaozara in Ebonyi State, was on his way to his shop on December 18, 2012 when he was arrested by officials ofthe state’s Kick Against Indiscipline (KAI)and detained for no reason until he was deported in his father's land. “The reaction of the state government that the Igbo were deported to reunite them with their families was the worst insult to any race. “Governor Fashola's Special Adviser on Youths and Social Development, Dr. Enitan Dolapo Badru, said: ‘The end result is to reunite them back with their families.’ “What an affront against the collective will of Ndigbo or any other race in Nigeria to live and do business in any part of the country? “The action of the state government is not only wicked but a clear breach of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as amended. “To worsen the matter, most of those deported are not even indigenes of Anambra State. Is Anambra State now a dumping ground for any act of illegality? Is Lagos State Government above the law of the country? If not, can it operate another set of laws without recourse to constitution amendment? Is it not a travesty of justice that officers of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) were even used for this illegal act against the Nigerian state? Was the supervising officer, who allowed the deployment of the policemen, not told that they were going to be used for the deportation of Nigerians they were paid by tax payers' money to protect in their fathers' land? “The action is a gross infraction to the rights of the deportees to dwell in any part of Nigeria without discrimination. With this wicked, crude and primitive deportation, I just wonder why a component unit of Nigeria, under the authority and supremacy of a constitution would choose to be lawless in such an unconstitutional conduct. Not even underthe military would such an action have happened. “Even if a criminal offence was committed, the place to take them to is the court, not for them to be deported. The action of the Lagos State Government is lawless as it is vexatious and I condemn it in strong terms because it threatens the existence of our country. All patriotic Nigerians should say no to this xenophobic action of Lagos State Government because it usurps the powers of the federal government and disregards our constitution. “I demand a public apology from the governor within seven days to all those illegally deported and a repeat of such anact must be stopped or I will head to court to defend the interest of the Ndigbo in Lagos. Enough is enough.” 5 Likes |

Austine.E: The Hausas are providing incredible intelligence to LASG and OGSG. They know these scums, and they point them out as soon as they spot them. There is nothing political about Bokoharam, its just you SE people who politicize everything. What is wrong with seeing facts, and removing sentiments in it. And I keep repeating this: the Hausas are far more respectful to the Yorubas when it comes to providing security info about criminal activities in their midst. I wish my SE people too could start providing info for LASG when they spot known-kidnappers trying to harm the natural owners of the state instead of coming here all the time to scream BOOOYAH whenever any kidnapper is been shredded and stereotyped. I hail those brave civilian JTF and the Hausas for pointing out these people despite they are tribes men. It doesnt take plenty to know they arent tribalists like my people fro the SE who all want to die because destitutes with no jobs were been deported out of Lagos. 4 Likes |

soma042: Former Governor of Abia State, Chief Orji Uzor Kalu, has given the Lagos State Government a seven-day ultimatum to apologise to the 67 persons of Igbo ethnic nationality allegedly deported from Lagos to Onitsha in Anambra State or he would head to court to defend their interest.you fomers gov 7 days will just be wasted. how many of your states in the east can accommodate what lagos state has accommodated in last 60 decades. see am from delta state and i know if lagos where to be own by the igbos no-non igbos will not be allowed to breath in lagos. ask your self how many yoruba, urohobo esan, ijaw just to name a few others has been apointed as SA to any of you Govns since democracy in Nigeria let alone an elected position? but we have igbos as counellors,SA to lagos state gov on economy,we have commisioners. So tell Oji or whatever he is called to keep is mouth shot. cos he is going to compound more worse to other igbos in Lagos. let him face is problem. until your people solve the problem of IM(ONYE MADU) put people from other states in your elected position and see if fashola will not change. the problem of tribalism started with ibos not Yoruba or Hausa. the problem am facing presently at work is becos i bear an igbo surname. someone told me to face that it is because what Ibos do to non ibos in there states that is why you cant be promoted. A yoruba lady i almost married was because of this tribalism as well. her father told i can marry her simply becos our people dont accommodate Yoruba. so ibos are cause of the problem of tribalism in Nigeria. my people from ijaw itshkiri, urohobo and edo knows what am saying 2 Likes |
