Imo Governor Okorocha Says His Regime Has Not Borrowed by Abagworo(m): 1:00pm On Jul 31, 2013
The Imo State Governor Owelle Rochas Okorocha has said that the major consideration in the formulation and execution of his administrations policies and programs was to bring the greatest good to the greatest number of people in the state.
Owelle Okorocha who disclosed this while addressing some government officials at Government House, Owerri, explained that any true disciple of his administration must consider the poor masses first before considering himself so as to enable his administration record more successes.
He said that his administration was able to record many giant strides in the area of infrastructural development, education, security, health and culture because of the prudent way he has managed the resources, explaining that his administration has not borrowed any money from either individual or bank.
He assured the people of the state that he would continue to serve them with fear of God and maintained that the state needed the grace of God to move ahead and called on all to pray for the leaders of the state.
He then called for the cooperation of all the people in the state to enable him take the state to the peak of infrastructural and economic development.
In another development, Okorocha has said that the Youth Must Work Programme of his administration was designed to keep every youth in the state busy so as to prevent restiveness among them.
Governor Okorocha who stated this while addressing the state young Engineers at the Government House, Owerri, identified unemployment as one of the major causes of armed robbery, kidnapping, rape and other social vices that have claimed the lives of many in the past.
He further said that his administration has lifted embargo on employment in the state civil service and appealed to the youths of the state to make the best use of the opportunity and secure employment.
The governor maintained that his administration will not allow the few criminal who live in our communities to hold the state to ransom, saying that he will henceforth direct his search light to various areas of the state with the view to identify them for appropriate action.
