I WILL SINCERELY APPRECIATE SINCERE AND TECHNICAL ADVICE ON WHICH TO GO FOR, BTW A MANUAL AND AUTO TRANSMISSION OF TOKUNBO PEUGEOT 406. SOME HAVE ADVISED;THAT THE MANUAL IS BETTER AND MORE RUGGED,BT I STILL HAVE A FEELING THAT WITH PROPER MAINTENANCE I CAN STILL ENJOY THE AUTO.IS IT THAT THE AUTO IS PRONE TO FAULT THAN THE AUTO OF OTHER CARS LIKE TOYOTA AND HONDA OR WHAT. To me, I'll advice you go for Manual. Peugeot cars especially these 406 and other old models do not have good history of automatic gear |

I once ask a PAN media handler,he said the auto gear fault is mostly synonymous with certain product chain line and not generalized as reported. He give assurance abt nigerian assembled 406 and some other countries. Though i couldnt specify which exact country product line possess that peculiar factory fault. |
