The name Buzznetz is set to revolutionize the way movies are watch in Nigeria as Buzznetz launches the first online DVD rental store in Nigeria.

With Buzznetz, movie lovers can watch, play and listen to an array of products that includes original DVDs, games and audio compact discs. All these products will be delivered free of charge to the respective homes and offices of Buzznetz customers.

According to the Chief Executive Officer of Buzznetz, Saidu Abdullahi, Buzznetz customers will be entitled to ten free delivery and pick-ups every month of any of Buzznetz products. Using the DVD as an example, Abdullahi explained that the DVDS will be delivered to customers in a batch of two, three and five. “So Buzznetz customers will be getting a minimum of twenty DVDs that will be delivered and retrieved free of charge every month.” Explaining further, Abdullahi added that Buzznetz customers will not have to worry about late fees or dues as customers can keep any of Buzznetz products for as long as they are so inclined.

On how the online rental system works, Abdullahi said a prospective customer will visit www. Buzznetz .com, register and pay a stipulated registration fee via cheque or bank transfer. After confirmation of payment, the username and password of the customer will be entered into Buzznetz database and an activation of account mail sent to the customer. The customer can then visit the website, create a wish list of between ten and twenty of Buzznetz products. Products on the wish list will then be delivered in batches to an address predetermined by the customer.

As a last remark, Abdullahi said being a movie addict himself; he created Buzznetz to allow more people experience the thrills of watching an original DVD with all the extra features and at a cheaper rate. Abdullahi also hope to promote closer family ties where couples or parents and their siblings can sit for hours and watch films or play games in the comfort of their homes.

Buzznetz, Nigeria’s first and only online DVD Rentals has introduced a new pre-payment option that allows registered customers enjoy buzznetz original DVDs, audio books and games on a pay-as-you-use basis. With this option, visitors to the buzznetz site can register their details online and rent any of buzznetz products when they choose to without having to subscribe for a particular duration.

Also, any visitor that chooses to register online as a member on buzznetz website will be entitled to a free weekend trial of two movies of his/her choice.

On how the new pre-payment option works, all you need do is to register as a member on the buzznetz website, create a wish list of the movies you want to watch from different categories of movies available on the buzznetz website and indicate the number of movies you want delivered to you.

When this is done, our delivery personnel will deliver the movies to you at your indicated address. For each DVD delivered to you, you will pay five hundred naira at the point of delivery. A company receipt will be issued to you for the payment made. You are entitled to keep the rented DVDs for a week after which our delivery personnel will visit you to pick up the DVD. This means that you are not charged for the cost of delivery and pick-up.

Registration for the pre-payment option attracts a fee of one thousand naira which is paid once for the duration of the account. This fee will also be collected by buzznetz delivery personnel on the first delivery.


For the free weekend trial, a visitor to the buzznetz website who registers its details online will automatically be entitled to two movies of his/her choice that will be delivered to a specified address over the weekend and picked-up by buzznetz delivery personnel on Monday.

All the visitor needs to do after registering is to wait to receive account activation details from buzznetz. After receiving the activation details, the visitor uses the details to log in as a member on the buzznetz website, create a wish list of ten movies he would like to watch over the weekend. Normal Rentals: This package allows Buzznetz customers to queue up all the episodes of a particular series for uninterrupted delivery, receiving the next delivery on the queue on retrieval by Buzznetz delivery officers of the preceding one.

Special Rentals: This plan allows Buzznetz post paid customers to rent entire series of television shows in a single delivery; the customer cannot break up or modify the package. The special series rentals will be counted as one delivery on the customer’s delivery slot and will attract a special premium above the subscription fees. The premium fees will attract a flat rate of two thousand naira and can be kept for as long as the customer subscription to Buzznetz is still valid.

this is really cool guys, funny thing is my boyfriend and i wer jes lamenting a day before about pirated films and dvd rentals.i was actually telling him hw one cud make a biz of this.however he brought so many challenges like ppl agreeing 2 pay 500 for a cd wen they can get 30 in 1 movies 4 300naira!!!
