The Nurol Makina Ilgaz from Turkey is similar to the PF2, and both vehicles can prosecute the same role.

Very similar.

The Vikings have returned from Christmas leave straight onto operations and exercises. Last week the battalion deployed their latest team to the Nigerian School of Infantry where for four months they’ll assist in running a variety of specialist lessons.

If Israel is not in Africa where is it. Middle East is not a continent. And don't say Asia or Europe so best guess middle east is part of African continental land but we don't control it anymore.

lol, Middle east encompasses Iraq, Iran, Syria, Saudi Arabia etc, so those are also in Africa?
It's called middle east just as we hear people say "Subsaharan Africa"
They are Asians, they simple like being called Arabs or whatever, since they are different physically from east Asians for example.
China share border with India, but do they look alike? Nope, but Indians are still Asians

Motorised infantry is just as important as Mechanized Infantry. In places like Syria and Nigeria at the height of the insurgency. Insurgents ripped through bases with guys firing 23mm HMGs from the back of hilux trucks.

This tactic allows the insurgents to easily maneuver defence lines with ease, maximum firepower and speed. If a base comes under attack from 5 different directions with insurgents fielding 23mm's, there is a high likely hood that the small base would collapse.

You won't be able to do this with armour or deploy in considerable numbers.

Regular armies have also adopted this technique, with the Russians developing a new motorised brigade based on pick-up trucks.

Personally I don't believe the Hilux can be replaced with this, it should be replaced with the Innoson G12 military truck. The hilux, doesn't have the characteristics of a military jeep, which the G12 has. It would suffer in many areas the G12 will excel.

In my opinion, the Hilux should be replaced by the G12, while the PF2 LAV is equally purchased.

Armour can be overated. The PF2 can only provide protection against 7.62mm, it won't stop a 23mm fired from 2km away.Right there, you now have to choose between having 5 pickup trucks armed with 12.5mm HMG or a single PF2 LAV armed with a 12.7mm.

Anyway, it is about providing a good balance at the end of the day.

The Russian brigade isn't what you think it is:

“These battalions are being developed from the experience of combat actions in Syria,” military expert Vladislav Shurygin told Izvestiya.

“In a day, the typical motorized rifle battalion equipped with armored personnel carriers or infantry fighting vehicles can complete a march of not more than 100 km. But an MRB in the UAZ Patriot can go several hundred kilometers in a day.”

“Moreover, acting in small groups, motorized rifle platoons and companies in pickups can slip through enemy forces and deliver quick strikes.”

“But these battalions are only effective in desert, steppe, and semidesert terrain. In forests and forest-steppe, automobile-mounted infantry loses out to infantry in BMPs and BTRs in combat capability.”

In any case, the 30th will remain a largely conventional motorized infantry unit, as three out of its four motor rifle battalions will continue riding the much heavier, 8-wheeled BTR-82 armored personnel carriers.

They are just continuing a very old idea. Light recon with the ability to harass attached to motorized infantry

Your specifics on the composition of the Russian brigade is correct, however i'm basing my opinion on rapid mobility and firepower.

Its a futuristic SANDF ship..... Thus the camo scheme is also the same as on what you get on our the Rooivalk, oryx(slightly different) or A109s......

Hell it even has an Oryx on it, which is reference to our Oryx helicopter.
