Xbee007:

So are we going to ignore the fact that a disturbingly large chunk of this rampaging bandits are Fulani bororoje?

A friend once narrated his uncle's experience while travelling to Lagos from... Ordinarily, his uncle would travel by air but on that day he decided to travel by road (a decision that ALMOST cost him his life and almost made his little children FATHERLESS). They were almost in Lagos when they were waylaid by gun totting men with fingers on the trigger ready to blow any person's head off. The passengers were all stopped and stripped-searched. All their valuables were seized. The so called bandits pinned an Ak-47 to his (my friend's uncle's) forehead, collected his money, watch and even the certificates in his luggage.

"They were Fulanis," he said.
Just like almost all recent kidnapping incidents in Nigeria, the perpetrator were Fulanis bororoje.

Also, over 90% of kidnapper suspects arrested in recent times by police are Fulani bororoje.
You should see this BBC documentary.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mRADCzmEX6w

I get it that it is not okay to conflate Fulani bororojes with these devilish activities, however the crux of this issue is that there is something going on that is metamorphosing this once "peaceful herdsmen" into armed bandits.

So, our next discussion should be on how:
We can stop these kidnappings.
Fix our borders.
Encourage ranching.
Track the movements of these nomads and possibly integrating them into our societies.

It goes like this; as desert encroachment continues far north, dwindling Chad basin, etc. We're going to have an issue with people turning into crime to survive due to dwindling resources. Call a spade a spade. Kidnappings became a thing from the ND when the ones who remained became wealthy. Its since multiplied exponentially all over Nigeria. Currently, it's no point hiding that some of the trending kidnapping activities are carried out by fulanis.

dude it's weekend I literally couldn't be more relaxed.
However if you think you're going to take the p1ss out of me, then you're seriously mistaken.

And what I pointed out is 100% a leg of a soldiers(if you can't see then you're blind) . And yes it might not 100% confirm my argument but what it does is it puts serious doubt on your argument.

Haha, I see quite a discussion on the photo. Here is the proof you wanted.
And a photo of the company commander afterwards.

Blue Arrow: that lookes like some kind of light attack helo, I would have said its a Huey but that's the wrong cammo

.....

kikuyu1 , Finally found a vid that shows the helo up -close, excuse the quality

at first I thought it was the old SA330 Puma that we have 7 units

But the SA330 has only 4 side windows,

So after a little googling on the variants of the Puma,

I think its the Airbus H215M or H225 which we currently don't have

thats navy, navy uses gold thread, army uses brown with touch of black, with the army logo , by the left.... there are subtle differences in the uniform, that each forces can tell apart, not easy to tell to the untrained eye.

Saffas,I've been hearing rumours and it seems things have been settled-Paramount is coming to Nairobi! IIRC,I first heard this early last year but recently a reliable source elaborated they're partnering with the government to assemble UAVs and MRAPs-a site has already been identified and the upper echelons have realised its an opportune way to begin an indig arms manufacturing capability, save money, provide employment and gain certain critical skills while avoiding political blackmail via arms embargo if the poo ever hits the fan. Any of you heard anything on your end?

NAF RECEIVES 21 SPECIAL OPERATIONS DOGS AS K-9 HANDLERS RETURN FROM ADVANCED TRAINING IN SOUTH AFRICA

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) today, 6 August 2109, took delivery of 21 Special Operations Dogs acquired from South Africa. The dogs arrived along with their 20 NAF Canine (K-9) Unit handlers who had concluded 13 weeks advanced training in areas such as Explosives Ordinance Detection (EOD), Narcotics Detection and Special Operations. The Special Operations training covered tracking, rappelling, waterman-ship and terrain training aimed at equipping the dogs and their handlers with requisite skills to operate alongside NAF Special Forces (SF) personnel in Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR) and emergency disaster response situations.

With the arrival of the new dogs, the NAF K-9 Unit, which was established in 2016 by the incumbent Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, now has a total of 60 dogs. This has significantly boosted the capacity of the Unit for enhanced security at major Nigerian Airports, NAF Units and Theatres of Operation across the Country.
