Nope ! Army guide does NOT say CAM GUN is the most advanced in the world, it's you saying it and it's a big fat lie you frabricated on Nairaland.

Gernan made RMK-30 is the first and only 30mm cannon with unique feature of no recoil. It's the most unique, creative, and advanced in the world today. No contest.

Nigerian Armed Forces Special Forces.

- Special forces of the Nigerian military are divided into 5.

-Primary Special Forces unit of the Nigerian military is the Armed Forces Special Forces (AFSF). These guys are drawn from the Navy SBS, Army Special Counter-Terror Unit, Army Mobile Strike Force, Air Force QRF and DSS. This unit was formed and is funded by the ONSA, many Nigerians refer to them as "Russian trained special forces".

- Navy SBS, these guys need no introduction, they are the premier SF unit of the Nigerian military.

- Army Special Forces/ CTCOIN unit is the army primary S.F unit.

- Army 72 Mobile Strike Force, formerly Army Rangers. The MSF based in markurdi is the army's QRF. They were first popularised by foreign journalist who made multiple ridiculous , completely idiiotic claims, referring to them as "mercenaries" who carry out operations at night, while the "Nigerian army" comes to take glory in the morning.

Offcourse Eeben Barlow and STTEP who trained the unit for 3 months further popularised them.

- Last both not least, the Air Force Quick Reaction Force. Not a lot is known about the exploits of this unit asides the fact they are the Air Force elite COIN/CTCOIN unit.

Isis in Libya: How Boko Haram jihadis are flocking to join Daesh's holy war in North Africa

On the shores of the Mediterranean two vast provinces of the Islamic State (Isis)'s overseas terror empire intersect in the Libyan town of Sirte. In the former Qaddafi stronghold, senior Daesh commanders from the Levant rub shoulders with extremists from across Sub-Saharan Africa and foot soldiers from Nigeria's Boko Haram.While a US-led coalition closes in on Isis across its territories in Iraq and Syria, in Libya the Islamic State has grown from a force of 3,000 fighters to 6,500 in just three months, according to the UN and the Pentagon.

The terror group has carried out audacious suicide attacks in Libya's cities of Tripoli, Benghazi, Zliten and Misrata, killing scores, and clashed with government aligned militias at crucial oil installations.

The rapid expansion of the Islamic State into the anarchy of post-Gaddafi Libya has been fuelled by the arrival of hundreds of Boko Haram fighters. The value of the jihadis from Sub-Saharan Africa to the Islamic State operation in Sirte is such that it hires exclusive people smugglers to swiftly transport the militants directly to the terror group's defacto Libyan capital.

Absolutely loving my current assignment with the CSIR’s Technology for Special Operations (TSO) Research Group: it means I get to visit all SA’s elite units in the military and the police. Last week was the turn of 44 Para Regiment, with the Pathfinders and 1 Para Battalion. Finally witnessed a demonstration of the CSIR’s Candle Mobile Landing Lights System.
Fun facts:
1) The lightweight system fits into a single Pathfinder’s kit to mark either a landing zone or a landing strip;

2) The unique thing about the system is that the lights are remote-controlled. When the aircraft lands, the lights are switched on, and then switched off immediately once they have landed; The system consists of twelve lights, each fitted with a transmitter/receiver with a remote control effective up to 600 metres and 200 metres between lights, when controlled by an operator on the ground;

3) With six lights on either side, a landing strip of 1 000 metres and longer can be marked out, enough to accommodate a C130 Herc; a particular innovation is that the remote control is also now fitted in aircraft, meaning the approaching pilot can operate the system from 10km away;
4) The lights are only detected by night vision equipment and thus remain unseen with the naked eye;

5) The portable landing light system was awarded the coveted International Soldier Technology Award, selected from a number of soldier modernisation programmes from the US, the UK and NATO countries, by a panel of five judges from the Netherlands, Israel, Norway, NATO and the US;

6) Apart from sales to various militaries, the civilian version continues to be bought by mining companies operating runways in inhospitable environments;

7) The latest upgrade in SANDF use has seen the inclusion of landward-based sensor systems to serve as an early warning system for protection, as well as a detection capability for intrusion into secure environments.

Bomb blast strikes Somalia airport

Six people were wounded when a bomb planted inside a notebook computer exploded at an airport in Somalia on Monday, the second such attack in recent weeks targeting civilian aviation in the country.

The bomb detonated at a checkpoint in the small central town of Beledweyne, about 325km north of the capital Mogadishu, where last month al-Shabab fighters claimed responsibility for a blast that tore a gaping hole in a passenger plane shortly after takeoff.

You are the one derailing this thread by accussing others of derailing when you are the one creating senseless arguments and loads of lies/deception. When you posted your big lie saying army guide wrote that CAM GUN is most advanced in the world when the website NEVER said so, you did not see your false claims as derailment, but when I correct your lies you call that derailment.

Stop using Naira-land forum to spread false information, go do your fraud on Rand-Land.

U.S. Airstrike in Somalia Kills Scores of Al-Shabab Militants During 'Ceremony'

WASHINGTON — As many as 100 members of the al-Shabab terrorist group were killed by U.S. airstrikes in Somalia overnight Sunday, senior defense officials told NBC News.

The officials said unmanned American drones dropped bombs and launched Hellfire missiles in the devastating air assault on a large gathering of the militants.

It appeared "the group was in formation" conducting "some kind of ceremony" when the airstrikes were launched, one official said.

It's not clear whether any senior al-Shabab leaders were killed in the strikes, and no other information was immediately available
