lots of small and medium sized defense companies are closing shop in Europe. there are many African countries which have adequate resources to buy out these companies. either do it through existing legal companies , or through front companies or through front companies based in friendly 3rd party countries. one must grab every opportunity. someday i will tell you how the Chinese developed their defense industry. |

nemesis2u:i was shocked to read an article about china armoured vehicles and realise that most of them are partially or completely russian copies.most of our abroad procurement are driven by kick backs and under the table deals.like the recent bought VN-4 APC by kenya police could have easily being made or assembled in kenya, what made me mad was our president had in the past visisted ethiopia where he saw them building an indigenous APC's and still went ahead and bought china made VN-4 APC ! with a growing population we need to increase our manufacturing ,also the threat of alshabaab is still growing.recently a police light skin land cruiser was hit with a RPG-7 killing 5 policemen, who were escourting a bus in madera.this deaths could have being prevented if the government and security agencies start a project to even upgrade indigenous armoured land cruisers .like the british did armouring land rovers during the northern Ireland troubles Sudan made Safat 03 light aircraft trainer 1 Like 1 Share

chkil: for most countries a mach 5 missle is a enough threat especially in Africa. JF-17 can carry a CM400AKG air to surface missle with the average speed mach 4-5,top speed mach 5-6 can be at par with at least bramos I if not zircon. Though the range seems to be shorter and the price I think should be more resonable. of couse for those su-30 user they can only choose yakhont or bramos. 1 Like

iblawi:A mach 5 missle is supposed too be used against High value target like big warship or heavily fortified constrction. in most case COIN I think don't need it. I don't make judgement cos I have not enough clues though he may looks a bit simpathy on them. |
