M14A1: Take out the wood, add polymer. Change the butt-stock to polymer, add rubber at the end of the butt-stock to help reduce recoil pain on the shooter. Add a polymer foregrip and a polymer magazine to improve accuracy and reduce weight respectively. Add an AK-74 muzzle brake or any other good muzzle brake design. Improvement Would reduce re-coil, and improve precision. Change pistol stick to polymer. Add polymer to the hand guard and a polymer grip. it reduces the weight of the rifle, and allows you add picatinny, so we can mount accessories. E.g laser dot/ sight. These improvements Would improve precision, recoil, weight and accuracy. An EO TECH sight would be great but it's battery would eventually run out,and it's kinda expensive. we can go for more affordable sights, mespro is great, or any holographic sight. Improvements Would improve precision. Foldable butt-stock to give my AK that carbine feel. Improvement would allow the SF soldier conduct room clearing and CQC with ease. In all, a 5.56 would always be more accurate than a 7.62, however most fighting occurs in a 300 meters- 400 meters area. In this area, they are the same. Forget about that above 500 meters shots, even well trained devgru / delta/ SAS personnel would find it difficult to hit a target above 500 meters. Personal preference : change rifle colour to desert Camo. In all, with these up-grades on my AK-47 Versus a 5.56 (tavor/M4A1/FN SCAR/FN F2000, HK 416), I would go for the Upgraded AK-47 over any of them. Not only do i get to keep my more powerful round, my accuracy is greatly improved, the enemy is down when he is shot (I don't want to be in a position where to kill an enemy high on drugs, I need to hit him with 5-6 rounds), and I get to keep the enemy's 7.62 Ammo. Thank you. 1 Like |

M14A1: Yes, my upgraded AK47 would give the special forces soldier varied capabilities he would never get with a 5.56mm. |

NighttWalker: F/A-18, F-22 ( the Americans aren't even selling this jet to the Israelis, not to talk of you ), F-35..... okay, you just have to wake up. The JF-17 is a nice jet, i'm quite delighted with the choice. However, 40 is a no, no for me. 30 is even too much, are we the ones to lift Pakistan out of bankruptcy? I say we go, 18- 24 JF-17 thunder jets and 8 MIG-29SMT or SU-30. For a total of 24- 28 jets in all. |

Henry120:Like I said I know the US won't sell those jets to us but I just want u guys to have an idea of the kind of jets we should have. And like u said 40 JF-17 is a lot and it would be better to get like 18 - 24 JF-17 and other 4th gen jets. Do u know the block we'll be getting from the Jf-17? Why do u guys prefer Russian made Su's and MIGs to Western Typhoons, Eurofighter, Rafale, Turnado, F -16s or even the Chinese J-10 and J-11? |

Henry120:True. But M14A1:We talking about old model raw ak47 for special forces. You just succeeded in upgrading it to the AK74,AK100series And My SCAR H 7.62diammeter rounds with a telescopic sight would kill well above 500m with your desired lethality. (Ask your local range operator) |

M14A1: Since it's a Special forces Soldier, we need to give him a Special forces AK-47. My Ak-47 is a description of a Special forces AK-47. I beg to differ, not many operators can accurately hit a target above 500 meters, whether it is a HK 416, FN Scar-H or an Up-graded AK-47. |
