Although the record of tempera and relevant press in European countries indicates that oil painting was found there individually, there is proof that oil painting was used previously in Afghanistan. Areas for outside and those like protects — both those used in competitions and those installed as designs — were stronger when coloured in oil-based press than when coloured in the conventional tempera shows.
