How many hours of sleep is an average teenager suppose to get in a day is some that both concern parent/gaurdian and Adolescense and thats why both parties must get a proper orientation.
What Is Sleep Deprivation?
Sleep deprivation?

Sleep deprivation is the psychological torture by a victim depriving him/her self of sleep and also, it is the condition of not having enough sleep.

Generally, sleep depriviation is dentrimental to ones health and studies as shown that people now careless about their sleep hygiene and this could be as a result of their life style e.t.c.

Scientifically, studies have shown that changes takes place in the bodies of teenager and by so, they require more sleep and they may be psychological challenged to getting up in the morning as a result of puberty.
The biological clock of teenagers do slow down at puberty.
Causes Of Sleep Deprivation
One of the major cause of sleep deprivation is "Insomnia". Insomnia is the state of being unable to sleep so that tiredness is virtually permanent.
How To Avoid Being Sleep Deprived
1. Avoid Intake Of Alcohol And Hard Drugs
Teenagers should try as much as possible to avoid the intake of alcohol and drugs like marijuana, cocaine, heroin e.t.c as this can affect you psychologically.and for sure, drugs can impair your memory and its going to decrease your life span and lot of negative effect.
2. Avoid Heavy Study
It is important to know as a teen that heavy study can be detrimental to your health. It is advisable for a student to have a study schedule. You must study and relax at both time as heavy study can cause some negative psychological effect in your body.
3. Parental Sentiment
It is important to know that as a parent, you can contribute to your child insufficient sleep hygiene thats why it is advisable that parent should not argue with their kids few hours before bed time as this might affect them emotionally which could result to sleep deprivation.
4. Avoid Trying To Sleep With Your Mobile Phone or Pc
