Wasn't The 2011 Nigerian Presidential Election A National Tragedy? by Simonet: 5:49pm On Aug 15, 2013
The 20ll presidential Election in Nigeria produced a regionally skewed election in which 90% of Northerners voted for one candidate (Buhari) and 90% of Southerners voted for the other (Jonathan).

Both Sets of voters voted mostly purely on sentiment.

Despite being free and fair, the election revealed a dangerously divided nation. A nation that just might fulfill the 2015 breakup prophesy.

Jonathan is determined to return in 2015. Buhari is also determined to contest in 2015. Neither have any real content to offer in terms of Nigeria's progress.

Till this very day, the supporters of both candidates sound terribly sentimental, no room for neutral analysis.
