Our R4D is anchored on the development needs of sub-Saharan Africa. IITA develop agricultural solutions with its partners to eradicate and poverty and hunger by reducing the risk of producer and consumer , to enhance crop quality and productivity, and to generate wealth from agriculture. IITA have over 100 foreign recruited scientists from about 35 countries and 900 nationally recruited staff based in various stations across Africa

Job Name : Mechanic II (Kano Station) 2-year renewable contract


Job Duties:
Maintenance of official vehicles and plants and routine service
Plumbing and electrical activities minor repairs
Must Participate in the purchase of vehicle parts
Keeping of records of maintenance work done
Carry out other duties that may be assigned by supervisor
Qualification and Experience of job Applicant

Holders of OND/Trade Test in Mechanical Engineering or related field plus (5) years relevant post-qualification working experience.

The job applicant must have :
* a very good knowledge of general repairs, fittings and plumbing.
* a very good knowledge of records management.
* good interpersonal and communication skills.
* Have a valid driver’s license.
* Must Be honest and hardworking;
*Be a good team player and be able to follow instructions;
