nedufantasy: Whether poor race or paw paw raze!BIKO NNE try and win something for us in the 4*100 metres I'd be impressed if they even make the final. I don't think Gloria Asumnu will be running. ...Blessing's legs must be tired though. Nigeria and Athletics = a painful story with athletes complaining with grace. |

FOR CRITICS AND HATERS : none of you or your family members has contributed anything to the glory of this nation. Abeg next time try and celebrate before you berate. Third position out of how many nations is no easy feat. Geddit. TO BLESSING: you re too much. We love you. More grace to thy limbs. You will do better the next time and these haters will choke on their saliva. 3 Likes |

I'm happy she got a bronze and wish it was the gold but all well and good.If her race is purely her effort,I celebrate her dignity not those who would like to claim all and in the end test positive to banned steroids.Their end is shame and nobody want to remember them.Congrats Blessing. |

Daffydoc: Not a drug test like wat u think. She took a painkiller for her toothache but failed to declare it. the toothache contains a banned substance(according to IAAF), and she was served a 6month ban...u think IAAF would give a 6month ban for a performance enhancing drug? Oxycodone is banned as a narcotic but is not considered performance enhancing or to be a masking agent. |

Blessing says she'd like to be a female Bolt, some may deride her, but i personally believe she has the accoutrements. I have the feeling, barring injuries and complacency (she aint getting younger), she could come close to the women's world record. If she fails to overcome her poor major competition-temperament, a one off superlative performance/ time in one of the numerous IAAF meets may well be her greatest legacy. Meanwhile, for heaven-sake what is happening to Nigerian Athletics, where are the future stars?? |
