Arsenal are ready to raise their bid for Newcastle's French midfielder, Yohan Cabaye.

The Magpies have rejected an opening £10 million offer for Cabaye, who was left out of the squad for last night's 4-nil drubbing at Manchester City.

According to the Mirror, Arsenal are set to return with an improved bid after having their initial offer rejected by Newcastle but it is also believed Cabaye would prefer a move to Paris Saint-Germain.
