The Greek word used for prophesy in the New Testament is 'propheteia' signifying the speaking forth of the mind and counsel of God through scriptures.

The prophesy you are ignorantly talking about is 'propphetikos' in Greek. The Spirit of God rest on some partiicular people through whom He (God) speaks.
