Director General, National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brig General Nnamdi Okore-Affiah, has said that most of the difficulties experienced in the mobilization of prospective corps members will now be an issue of the past as NYSC has developed a software capable of identifying mistakes in corps members’ data.

The Director General made the statement yesterday during the 2013 Batch C pre- mobilization workshop in Minna, Niger State.
“The ICT department of NYSC in collaboration with the mobilization department has developed a new data entry software that will be used by all corps producing institutions to collate data of prospective corps members. This is as a result of our realization that most of the mistakes during mobilization of prospective corps members are at the point of data entry. It is therefore expected that this new software will assist in identifying mistakes at point of entry of prospective corps member data”, he added.
According to him, the new software would be put to use during the 2014 Batch A mobilization exercise.
Earlier, Niger State Governor Babangida Aliyu, who was represented by the state Commissioner for Youths, kabir Mohammed Wushishi, said the state government remains committed to the support and realization of the service goal of promoting unity in the country.
