Apparently zombies were chasing a man in California, as he drove a stolen articulated lorry and they were the reason why he crashed it. 19 year old Jerimiah Hartline told officers that he was being chased by zombies and that dead people were clinging to the truck trying to get him. He swerved the vehicle in an effort to shake the zombies off the truck.



According to officers the 19 year old suspect stole the truck, which was full of strawberries when its driver has stopped at a weigh bridge. He was seen driving erratic and colliding with a number of cars. He also managed to flip the truck onto its side and blocked the road for several hours.
Nathan Baer, a California Highway Patrol officer said: “He was arrested at the crash scene and appeared to be in an altered state, claiming he was being chased by zombies.”
A passenger in one of the cars hit by Hartline was seriously injured and remains in hospital, she suffered a serious head injury and a severed artery.
Jerimiah Hartline, who is from Tennessee, has appeared in court he pleaded not guilty to six offences; assault with a deadly weapon, the truck, reckless driving, vehicle theft, attempted vehicle theft, driving without a licence and involvement in a hit-and-run resulting in injury.
