One evening, while sitting and gisting with friends and thinking about what to do to make some money, then an idea of selling fresh tomatoes and pepper comes into mind. Others laugh and said they’re too big they’ll not do it. But that did not stop me and one of my friend again.
We swing into action, by designing a small A4 and A5 flyers with our phone numbers on it and distributed to the public. Our idea was simple and it’s for you to call us, and we’ll deliver it to the person at their door steps.
Like joke, the thing kicks off beyond our imagination that beats our expectations. There were calls and business stated. We were in the business of distribution.
Those that ran and thought they were too big, saw how viable the idea became, came calling and wanted to join, but it was late at that time.
Our idea made us make money with little effort, but with maximum result. It was at that point that I realize that idea is really the new money in our time.
What is an idea?
An idea is a thought or suggestion to a possible cause of action. This often begins when you see a need and decided to fill it. An Idea is like a seed that normally starts small and grows with time.
How to get an idea
It’s difficult to effectively tell you the magic formula that will give you the idea that can rake in millions for you. But below are the ways to find an idea, just to give you an insight.
1. What do people want
Look around the environment where you’re and see what people want and don’t have it, but it’s a desperate need. If you can find one, then develop a plan on how to make the people important and they’re come to become your loyal to you.
For instance, in our own case, we made the customer important when we decided to deliver the product at their door step. it was sounding like we were doing them a favour, while actually they’re making us rich. Develop a strategy and use that leverage to your own advantage.
2. Reshape an existing idea
If you cannot find an idea, look around for an existing idea and recreate your own. That is change one or two things and you have your own new idea. This method is pretty the way many people are using to come up with their own.
Example of such is walmart and amazon.com. It was the idea of walmart that amazon copied, but what made the difference was that amazon, took their idea online.
3. Listen a lot
Do a lot of listening. Today, people talk more about their problem a lot. When they do, just know that they’re giving you an idea already. Joke them down and see the one you can effectively turn into your new money. Then develop a strategy that will effectively make you successful.

If you already have an existing idea, don’t just stop there. Keep refining it. Before someone will copy and push you out of the market.
Having an idea is the new money in our world today. When you have an idea, don’t waste time go on, develop a workable plan and put it into action.
