Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammed Sa'ad Abubakar 111 celebrated his 57th birthday yesterday amidst pomp and pageantry.

In a letter to the celebrant, President Goodluck Jonathan extolled his qualities as a lover of peace, unity and development in the country.

In a statement issued by President's Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Reuben Abati , he was quoted as saying;
“As you continue to use your exalted throne to promote the cause of peace, unity and positive development in the Caliphate and across our nation, I commit you into the hands of Almighty Allah and pray that He continues to prosper you and bless you with robust health and many more years of enduring fulfillment.”

He also prayed that God Almighty will grant the monarch, who is also the president-general of the Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, many more years of worthy service to the nation.
