Shell Recruitment Day Process Interview and Insights.

Are you a student or graduate interested in joining the graduate
programme at Shell? A couple of days ago, shell commenced a
graduated trainee recruitment programme Nationwide. We
understand that a lot of applicants are not aware of the
recruitment processes, steps or what to expect. This is a
presentation by Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) to
expose prospective applicants what to expect, and how to
prepare for the programme. This presentation serves as a guide
and insight on what to expect after they have applied for the
graduate trainee program. This presentation highlights the steps
taken by shell during the recruitment process.


What Shell looks for in candidates.

Academic Record
– Your academic record is one key factor in the assessment
of your application.

Skills & Achievements
– Extra-curricular activities and achievements are strong
evidence to help aid our understanding of the type of person you are.

Technical Skills
– Technical skills are both essential and highly valued.
– Capacity, Achievement, Relationships.

CAPACITY
The ability to analyse data quickly and learn fast, basing
judgments on fact not sentiment
Analysing outside existing boundaries to identify implications
and learn from others
The creativity to propose innovative solutions and manage
uncertainty within complex environments to produce workable
solutions In other words, your analytical ability to place
problems in a wide but relevant perspective.

ACHIEVEMENT
The drive and enthusiasm to set themselves and others
challenging unambiguous targets
