You guys don't get it they said they wanted to "help him achieve his dreams of flying legally on an aeroplane". That was his dream. Maybe he wants to be a pilot or aeronautic engineer and the Nigerian govt. is doing him good by helping him acheive this. The ppl that did this saw the great potential in this boy, I did, some of us here did, many ppl did. It's not easy to do what he did. For som1 to do that, he must have had great passion. So, encourage him instead and don't say rubbish.

This is a dangerous precedence being set here. We should not be seen as a society that rewards lawlessness. This boy knew that what he was embarking on was wrong but he did it nevertheless. We should not be carried away by sentiments. Other kids are now watching to see the end of the show. Theirs might not be risking their lives this same way as young Daniel, but they might be compelled to come up with some other mind boggling, life threatening risks in future if the price is right. As a juvenile , Daniel should be reprimanded, cautioned and made to understand the gravity of his folly and then let go. We should not celebrate him.
