Nobody likes spam comments, it’s can be really frustrating cleaning up your spam locker every day. Nothing pisses me off than hitting the “Empty Spam” button daily. So I set out to find a permanent solution spam comments on WordPress blog.

I played with the .htaccess file and added some line of codes; it may have worked in the past, but in 2013 it was just another wasted effort.

Thereafter, I used GASP (Growmap Anti Spambot Plugin) for a couple of days and it worked fine. Although, it eliminated the annoying captcha, it did come with a check box and only when ticked will the comment be sent to your comment section for moderation. A few spam comments also managed to scale through the wall.

What GASP didn’t do was to be effective on my mobile platform. Then, I realized I had to do away with GASP. After trying seven different anti-spam WordPress plugins in seven days, I finally found what worked across board. It eliminated spam completely from my blog.

Please guy I need your help.

I tried to convert my static website to wordpress but encountered a problem. Now visitors cannot access my site and I can not log into wordpress.

While doing the transfer, I followed these steps:
1. Install WP in a subdirectory
2. Create posts and pages
3. Install plugins and make sure that the site is running fine
4. Log into Cpanel and Move WP to the root directory
5. Use PhpMyAdmin to edit the urls that need to be edited. That is, I remove the now defunct subdirectory where WP was installed from the urls.

After doing all these I encuntered the problem. Please help me, what should I do? My site is http://www.dreamonlinemoney.com
