Atiku is nobody or just anybody. But let me remind you, he was a 2-tmie Vice President of this great nation, the arrow head of PDM that trnsformed in PDP, he is the only Lion that can face a General-President Obasanjo and stop with the help of other democrats the 3rd term ambition of former President, Gen Obasanjo. He fought and handed over to the people democratic norms which is now been re-battered by GEJ with Corruption

Also, if you wish to be reminded, he left the PDP Convention Venue not alone but with 8 (eight) Chief Executive Governors of federating states.

They left while the President GEJ was on seated. Do you know what that means to the official protocol settings at the venue? It means GEJ is nobody!!!!!!

Democracy is not just words but practice. What did you want the president to do Tie them down Atiku is a politician, that is even mistrusted by his own shadow. A businessman, that relies solely on government contract to survive. I know, he is somebody.

please be ready for more surprises. I know for a fact that the crisis in PDP is deeper than what most people are seeing right now.
And unfortunately for them, the person that is supposed to provide leadership for them, jonathan, cannot give what he does not have.

what pains me most is that I voted for Jonathan in 2011. I have to live with the possibility that Jonathan's leadership incompetence might not lead only to the dismemberment of PDP- as we now seeing- but also the Balkanization of my beloved country. God forbid!
Will u vote pdp again in 2015

figment232: Amaechi is a disrespectful arrogant he-goat GEJ doesnt need him.

precisely my point. Jonathan does not have the emotional intelligence of a leader. he needs amaechi than amaechi needs him,

To me, the river crisis is more a commentary on jonathan than amaechi.

We are simply returning back where we were decades ago when political parties mostly formed along tribe or zone- days of AG's and co. What are these govs contributing to this country..Born to rule syndrome..If they mean it let them call-for-out from Nigeria like the south south if they are not comfortable in Nigeria is better.
Re: Atiku And 7 Governors Walk-out Of PDP Convention by Nobody: 8:21pm On Aug 31, 2013
The 7 Governors are confused than Atiku, that is leading them blindly. After making clandestine move to register the PDM, they knew they can not declare for PDM voluntarily without losing their mandates and governorship seats, so they are looking for a way to be dismissed from the PDP so they can declare for PDM without losing their mandates. That's a smart move.

Now, PDP has to fashion out how to give them heat enough to make them defect voluntarily and lose their mandates and Governorship in time.

I suggest that Atiku and the Governors be suspended NOT dismissed from PDP immediately for anti-party activities and court injunction obtained that bars them from bearing PDP banners, logo etc until the case is resolved. That be protract till 2016.

By the way INEC will obviously recognize the PDP and not these outlaws, they look hungry anyway.

Bros Tinubu has no influence on the millions of lagos voters from the ss/se.They ll still vote for GEJ.

GEJ does not even need rigging to win elections in rivers state

Why didn't thesame SS/SE in Lagos stop Tinubu.

Classic example of talking without saying anything.

By the time we go into election proper in 2015....GEJ and his opportunists and AGIP gang would have been throughly worn out to engage in further political battles...he showed his hands way too early on the deck..

Some of you guys amaze me with your kindergaten political permutations. So, in your reckoning, if some disgruntled governors decide to leave the PDP join another party, that means every voter in their states would vote against the PDP's candidates during the general elections? Does this make any sense?

Lagos and much of the South West was firmly in the grip of the ACN during the last election. Did that stop Jonathan from winning the entire South West - with the exception of Osun state?

Even in the core aboki states like Sokoto and Kano, did Jonathan not surpass more than a quarter of the votes in such states - including in Buhari's own stronghold of Katsina? On the other hand, did Buhari manage to get even 10% of the votes in South South and South East states?

Look, the truth is that it makes little or no difference to Jonathan's electoral chances if these disgruntled fools in Kano, Sokoto, niger, and Jigawa decide to join another party. Assuming but not conceding that Jonathan would lose those states, he would certainly win more than a quarter of the votes, whereas the aboki that runs against him (whether Buhari, Tambuwal, Atiku, or anyone else) would NEVER win a quarter of the votes in the South South, South East, and middle belt. In the case of Kwara and Adamawa, Jonathan would win those states hands down, regardless of which party the foolish governors choose to belong. Jonathan would also win a number of core northern states such as Kaduna and Bauchi. In the South west, Jonathan would also win most of the states again, including and especially Lagos.

You people need to stop learning about politics from secondary school textbooks and get real.

I think you are a tribalist and nepotist masquerading as a public commentator. Before we go into any discourse regarding politics, I need to know which Political Party you are a member of, or affiliated to, so I can base my analogy within your level of understanding.

I do understand that the age bracket of Nairalanders from recent survey is 18-25, I do not want to discuss with a kid or emotional person. It will be a waste of my time.

gramci: President GEJ will win Rivers State anyday, the other northern states you mentioned he didn't win there in last election. So these men are political liability for now. So the only way to put them to good use is to frustrate them out of PDP so they can form a party that will split APC's vote. grin

Alternatively they can join the APC and strenghthen it further.
