what pains me most is that I voted for Jonathan in 2011. I have to live with the possibility that Jonathan's leadership incompetence might not lead only to the dismemberment of PDP- as we now seeing- but also the Balkanization of my beloved country. God forbid!

Billyonaire: The 7 Governors are confused than Atiku, that is leading them blindly. After making clandestine move to register the PDM, they knew they can not declare for PDM voluntarily without losing their mandates and governorship seats, so they are looking for a way to be dismissed from the PDP so they can declare for PDM without losing their mandates. That's a smart move.

Now, PDP has to fashion out how to give them heat enough to make them defect voluntarily and lose their mandates and Governorship in time.

I suggest that Atiku and the Governors be suspended NOT dismissed from PDP immediately for anti-party activities and court injunction obtained that bars them from bearing PDP banners, logo etc until the case is resolved. That be protract till 2016.

By the way INEC will obviously recognize the PDP and not these outlaws, they look hungry anyway.

Even in the core aboki states like Sokoto and Kano, did Jonathan not surpass more than a quarter of the votes in such states - including in Buhari's own stronghold of Katsina? On the other hand, did Buhari manage to get even 10% of the votes in South South and South East states?

Look, the truth is that it makes little or no difference to Jonathan's electoral chances if these disgruntled fools in Kano, Sokoto, niger, and Jigawa decide to join another party. Assuming but not conceding that Jonathan would lose those states, he would certainly win more than a quarter of the votes, whereas the aboki that runs against him (whether Buhari, Tambuwal, Atiku, or anyone else) would NEVER win a quarter of the votes in the South South, South East, and middle belt. In the case of Kwara and Adamawa, Jonathan would win those states hands down, regardless of which party the foolish governors choose to belong. Jonathan would also win a number of core northern states such as Kaduna and Bauchi. In the South west, Jonathan would also win most of the states again, including and especially Lagos.

You people need to stop learning about politics from secondary school textbooks and get real.

By the time we go into election proper in 2015....GEJ and his opportunists and AGIP gang would have been throughly worn out to engage in further political battles...he showed his hands way too early on the deck..

gramci: President GEJ will win Rivers State anyday, the other northern states you mentioned he didn't win there in last election. So these men are political liability for now. So the only way to put them to good use is to frustrate them out of PDP so they can form a party that will split APC's vote.
