We are looking for contributors to our new Nigerian consumer site: Naira consumer (http://www.nairaconsumer.com). Contributions will be in 3 main areas as set out, below (ARTICLES, INVESTIGATIONS AND REVIEWS and RESEARCH WORK/DATA COLLATION). Respondents must be preferably university graduates, must have very good command of English and clear writing style. We must see examples of your work before we commission you to undertake research or write for us. Unsolicited submissions are also welcome but we cannot guarantee the acceptance or publication of any unsolicited material.


(1) ARTICLES:
We want articles for the following topics:
(a) General Consumer rights and advice for Nigerian consumers
(b) Online sales in Nigeria - current legislation and consumers' rights
(c) Customer services and the treatment of customer by Telecoms and Technology companies
(d) Customer services and the treatment of customer by Banks and Financial organisations
(e) Customer services and the treatment of customer by Real Estate organisations
(f) Customer services and the treatment of customer in any other major industries or organisations
(g) Reviews and comparisons: please go to our menu and sub-menus in http://www.nairaconsumer.com and let us know if you are able to do any reviews and/or comparisons on any of these items

Length of articles: Minimum of 1,000 words and maximum of 4,000 words

Photos: Relevant and clear photographs will attract a higher payment. We are interested only in photographs taken by you or of which you own the copyright.


(2) REVIEWS, INVESTIGATIONS ETC
(a) We are looking for people who are willing to interview consumers on their experiences with various organisations
(b) We are looking for submissions from people who are reviewing goods and services

Length of articles and photos: As described, above.


(3) RESEARCH WORK/DATA COLLATION: The scope of work for this will be confirmed at a latter date.


ARE YOU INTERESTED?:
Please contact us with samples of your work, showing your writing style. For those whose work we like, there will be regular commissions. Alternatively, if you are confident about the quality of your work, do the write-ups and send them to us. We will pay for any articles, reviews or interviews that we deem good enough for the site.


PAYMENT TERMS:
(a) Article only: To start with, we will pay an initial fee of between N8,000 and N12,000 per article that we accept, depending on the quality of the article. For those whose submissions we are most impressed with, we will commission you for future articles at more favourable rates.
(b) Article and photos: The fee we pay is dependent on the relevance and quality of the photos, but any article accompanied by 2 or 3 good photos will attract an upper rate of payment of about N18,000
(c) All Payment will be made directly into the writer's bank accounts. At the moment, we are unable to pay by cash.
(d) Reviews: We are always looking for writers to review products and services of Nigerian organisations. You may send us your proposals for a review in the first instance. Alternatively, you can simply send us the unsolicited review and if we like them, we will make a payment. On average, a good review accompanied by 2 or 3 good and relevant photos will attract an upper rate of about N12,500
(e) Interviews: each interview will be treated individually.
(f) Research/Data collation: Scope of work will be confirmed at a latter date.
