Accordingto the first reports Jalingo, thecapital of Taraba state, Senator Hope Uzodinma committee empanelled by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)to mediate in the state political dead-end has asked the state's deputy governor to continue in office as acting governor but should take instructions directly from the ailing Governor Danbaba Suntai.
Kefas Sule, the spokesperson to theActing Governor, informed the newsmen about this decision Tuesday afternoon, after the committee met with Governor Suntai and Deputy Governor Garba Umar.
Addressing the media after themeeting, SenatorHope Uzodinmasaid Mr. Umar should continue to rule Taraba based on instructions he receives directly from Mr. Suntai.
It would be recalled that the PDP / Presidency delegation arrivedto Jalingo at 11.00 a.m.earlier today.
