99cent: Tinapa was a HUGE multi-million dollar project that was supposed to "jump-start the economy in SE Nigeria". Why did it fail? It should have been built in Lagos instead. what a waste of money.

At the end of the day, building airports, malls and big buildings are not guaranteed to be successful if the right conditions aren't met. ie if enough people aren't willing to patronizing it.

Does anyone know if Tinapa is getting better now?
Point of correction! Tinapa is not in SE but SS-Calabar.

I was quoting CNN. Go and write a letter to CNN to complain. Besides, The idea of Igbo as a SE region is geographically incorrect since Cross Rivers is actually the South Eastern most state on the map. So this is just a technical misunderstanding by CNN looking at it from a geographical standpoint rather than an ethnical/tribal standpoint.

Not true,Georaphically SE is Taraba Beneue,Part of Kogi ALL the Ibo states and some of Rivers.
Geographically SE would be the Quadrant to the bottom right with the whole country divided into 4;NW SW SE SE . Anything more than that goes beyond geography

Actually Calabar, and by extension, Cross River is in the geographical SE of Nigeria. But due to Naija's unique political lingo, the place is classified as "South-South".

It's all part of the mission to confuse Biafrans..
Which part is west west??
North north??

Even the Bight of Biafra, the government has paid money to ufficially change the name to Bight of Bonny..

Why??

But all these things they will pay tenfold..

If we go by that mentality then there is no such thing as south east..

Even Calabar would be south Central..

There would also be no north west..

But that's not how it works..

You don't measure the South East from the most Eastern point in the north..

You measure south east by dividing the southern part in two or three..

Igbo land is confirmed in South east with a portion across the river (which is still geographixally south east..

Even in the first three federating nations of the Federal fallacy of Nigeria the old eastern region was like this..

Before all the northern corruption and anti-democratic era messed everything up..
