Google has Motorola and Microsoft owns Nokia. While Google’s Android OS didn’t gain popularity with Motorola, Samsung Electronics redefined how we see smartphones, setting the benchmark of what the Android OS can do on mobile and having total dominance on the smartphone war.

Google would have wished that the Motorola brand was in the shoes of Samsung but Motorola is literally dead and even the highly rated Android OS failed to revive it in a way that will send shockwaves through-out the mobile market. Samsung needs Google and Google needs Samsung.

Samsung is forcing Nokia down the path of Motorola. Ironically, it was Nokia who sent Motorola out of business with exciting range of phones backed by unbelievable battery-life and powered by the holy grail of mobile devices; Symbian OS. With self reliance on the acquired Symbian OS and ignoring the markets, Nokia soon began losing relevance in the mobile markets and as the US set their sights on iPhone while Europe and Asia found love with Samsung’s Galaxy series, Nokia’s revenue plummeted and got worse once China’s own Tecno mobile company got hold of the Africa mobile markets with cheap, durable and affordable range of Android smartphones. Surly, it was the end of the road for Nokia but now they have got Microsoft and we will examine how the two giants can put up a fight against Google and Apple.
How Nokia And Microsoft Can Reclaim The Crown

No doubt, Microsoft has enjoyed decades of success with the Windows OS on PC’s but achieving similar feat on mobile devices has always eluded the software giant and the key to finally hitting their milestone might just be the acquisition of Nokia.
1. More Tiny

Everyone loves tiny gadgets that don’t have down-market functions. Nokia needs to take the route and produce exciting Windows smartphones that is less than 5.75 mm thin. Huawei ‘s Ascend P6 is the world’s slimmest smartphone. Nothing stops Nokia from achieving similar feat. Nokia used to be the benchmark of creative designs. With the accusation by Microsoft, it needs to go back to the drawing board and make creativity play a dominant role in production.
2. Aggressive Marketing

Microsoft has shown what marketing can do to a brand with the Xbox 360. With enormous resources pumped into Xbox 360 campaign, it wasn’t too long before the once written-off gaming device became a major player in the gaming industry. With the right marketing, Nokia can once again reclaim the top spot.

Microsoft has lots of cash to splash on any product and this is definitely one area where Nokia would gain significant momentum. A lot of people are simply unaware of what Windows 8 mobile OS can do. I really do feel sad for Microsoft because they have done so much on improving the OS, but no one seems to notice it. Campaign ads showings the powers of Windows 8 mobile will work like a charm, passing across functionality message of Nokia devices will send shock-waves across the industry.

A lot of people do not know that Nokia has stepped up their game in terms of camera and image quality. Nokia Lumia 1020 has a 41 megapixel camera; it’s the best in industry and 5-times better than what the iPhone 5 can offer. It is either this product was not marketed or it was marketed in a wrong way. When Microsoft finally gets holds of Nokia, we will definitely see improvements in Nokia’s revenue because the guys at Microsoft’s PR unit surely know how to do their jobs.
3.Price
