Kaduna: Woman, 30, arraigned for cutting boy‘s privates

A 30-year-old woman, Hadiza Gambo, has appeared before a Kaduna Chief Magistrate’s Court for allegedly cutting a boy‘s privates.

The prosecutor, Mr David Agie, alleged that Gambo, a rival to the mother of the child, was cruel and caused grievous hurt on him.

He alleged that Gambo used a razor blade to cut the child‘s (Shafiu Gambo) privates and other parts of the body.

Agie said, “Gambo also beat and pushed the victim, thereby causing a compound fracture on his leg.”

He added that the offence was contrary Section 238 and 241 of the Penal Code Laws of the Federation.

The prosecutor applied for an adjournment to enable him produce witnesses and the victim in court.

He explained that the victim was still receiving medical treatment in the hospital.

Magistrate Nasiru Idris granted the prosecutor‘s request for adjournment as well as the bail application by the accused.

The case, which was first mentioned on April 10 and heard on May 12, was adjourned till July 10 for further hearing.

Meanwhile, an Abuja Magistrate’s Court has discharged two men: Moses Adetunji, 26, and Kelechi ThankGod, 27, and warned the police against re-arresting them.
