Okorocha : A Political Opportunist But I Like His Audacity - By Onyema Uche by Babasessy(m): 1:19pm On Sep 07, 2013 |
They are rogues. They are selfish opportunists. They stole and still stealing from us. All they did was promise and promise all the time. Yes you are right, call them thieves again. Governor Okorocha, is a political opportunist. He does not have the interest of Ndigbo at heart. He has made a lot of false promises. So what? He is working his way to the top to be the first Igbo executive president in Nigeria. If he is a qualified criminal with all the credentials of shrewdness as Nigeria wants, then let him ride on. This man has changed the face of Owerri urban. He is the first governor after Mbakwe to bring development to rural areas in Imo state even though he neglects Mbaise. I must give it to him, he has done tremendously well. If Evans Enwerem, Achike Udenwa, and Ohakim did just 1/10 of what Okorocha is doing in Imo state now, our state would have progressed more. Governor Okorocha no doubt has his flaws but I am beginning to like his audacity. Yes dear governor continue to rule and ruin us. It does not matter any more if you sold Owerri to Muslims to achieve your presidential ambitions. I am with you. Just do not relent, do not mind your detractors. Just become the president and every sin will be forgiven. One only needs to take a ride and see the roads in Imo state, the rehabilitated Concord hotel, even the federal roads in owerri that used to be death traps have been renovated. The most outstanding is the Owerri Umuahia federal road. I wish the same is true in Abia state. How about monumental structures? I heard that there are art works in all the major roundabouts in Imo state. This governor pays stipend to students even though they have no lockers and chairs to write on, even though they have no modern classrooms at least they have stipends to buy akara. Yes it is better than not having both stipend and classrooms. Lol yes and hell yeah Okorocha for president. Let us go there. Let one of our own criminal be the president. Orji Uzo Kalu they say is another criminal who singlehandedly underdeveloped Abia state. He looted the state. He has an international airline though he has not started flying to Akanu Ibiam international airport, Enugu. He is fetish they say. Even the ''political errand boys'' have exited the stage. Yet this man is still kicking. It looks as though he and Okorocha are the only prophets of Igbo extraction still kicking. OUK sir your sins are many though it is not as great as that of Obasanjo yet he ruled for 8yrs. You are not worse than Jonathan yet he is ruling us. Ride on on your desire to rule. Ndigbo it is time we realize that saints do not rule in Nigeria. Our good men and women, the material saints of our time are in the monastery. Let them stay put and continue their meditations while the lions continue to roar. If Buhari could have the audacity to aspire to rule in Nigeria why not OUK and Okorocha? It is time we give support to any Igbo man/woman who wants to be president of Nigeria. Being the president of Nigeria does not have the same requirement as being an nze or ichie in our villages. Nigeria is not ripped for good man to rule her. Only smart men can rule in Nigeria. OUK and Okorocha have displayed observable tendencies to be that smart. Let us see how we can support these men. Yes to hell with ''good'' Igbo men who would not betray us. Where were they when we needed them? There is no betrayal worse than silence in the face of injustice, and calamity. Okorocha sir, it is not important to me which political party gives you the presidential ticket. Get it anywhere from whatever party. Let it be from ANPP, APCN, UNPGA, GNPP, NPN, or even from RIP democratic party. Go on son grab the presidential ticket and I will fly back to Nigeria, and I will campaign for you the way no Nigerian has seen. The presidency indeed covers a multitude of sin. Fire on let your enemies support you, they will be changed after victory. Same goes with OUK. Be dogged in your struggle to win a presidential ticket. Woe will betide any Igbo man/woman that would refuse to vote you as president. I will be there for you and I will campaign for you at all cost. Do not count how many good Nigerians are with you now. Just press on. It does not matter if your supporters now are more of area boys. Keep the heat on. In Nigeria presidents have no real enemies. When you become the president we will settle everybody. http://amazingstoriesaroundtheworld..co.uk/2013/09/okorocha-political-opportunist-but-i.html

Babasessy: They are rogues. They are selfish opportunists. They stole and still stealing from us. All they did was promise and promise all the time. Yes you are right, call them thieves again. After the first three paragraphs of the above nonsensical crap, it downed on me the writer is an academical fraud. From the first paragraph, an undiscerning onlooker will assume the joker is a resident of Imo State but while on third paragraph he or she begins to show true colors. How could an articulate fellow write junks based on told stories? In the world of fools, art works on circles are regarded as infrastructural development. It is high time Nigeria placed a gag order on misuse of words or phrases. The abuse of certain phrases in Nigeria has to be stopped. I recently hard an unfortunate discussion with a fellow from Amaraku, Isiala Mbano LGA who seemed happy the street tout called Roachas Okorocha is building a circle in the middle of trunk A road linking Owerri with Okigwe at Orie Amaraku. How could anybody with first day lecture in Civil Engineering via transportation allow a goon such as Okorocha to contemplate situating a circle at the middle of a major carriageway? I guess the problem of Africans is inherent. |

DerideGull: Dede you got me cracking on that one. I seem to agree with you for the 1st time. What is needed at intersection of highways is bridges and not roundabouts. I think the aim is more of beautification than easing traffic. On another note stop raining insults on Rochas, for he's a blessing to Igboland. |

i thought that roundabout is to be situated at anara junction not amaraku?also is he dualizing that road(owerri to anara) as i told earlier or is he just putting round abouts at specific junctions? |

Funny article with some truths in it. What the writer is just trying to say is that Igbos still don't know how politics in Nigeria works. |

Abagworo: The problem of Africans, particularly Nigerians, resides in their mind that lacked power of positive articulation. I have given up on my people seriously. Americans say disciplined people make healthy society. I guess a beautification that will bring sorrow and agony in future. Just imagine a scenario of a tanker laden with combustible substance and driven by an irresponsible driver who forgot to check the functionality of the brakes could set the entire community on fire. Remember that fire service does not exist in Nigeria. |

Afam4eva: Funny article with some truths in it. What the writer is just trying to say is that Igbos still don't know how politics in Nigeria works. What truth are you talking about? The author of a junk who could not get his\her premise straight yet you talk about some truths. |

DerideGull: Dede the article is satirical. Afam understood the whole write-up and its about Igbos looking for a Saint while others adore their criminals. Rochas has the chances of emerging President but Igbos are fighting him and trying to prove he's not a Saint and hence does not deserve to be there but ironically Jonathan whom they are supporting is worse than Rochas in every ramification. |

Abagworo:Spot on! We seem to be the only ones always looking for the saint in our midst to represent us whereas it seems other parts of Nigeria keep rallying behind their very worst as the Nigeria of today has mandated them to do. While i'll like to see the likes of Utomi, Anyaoku, Iweala, Akunyili, Soludo represent us, i think we should not throw away the dogged fighters like Rochas and Kalu because if you look at the prominent people from other regions, they're worse than these two. It's only Igbos that don't seem to understand Nigeria very well. We keep playing kindergarten politics while others are currently earning their PHD. |
Re: Okorocha : A Political Opportunist But I Like His Audacity - By Onyema Uche by DerideGull(m): 7:42pm On Sep 07, 2013 |
Afam4eva: It is abysmally wrong for anybody to think Nidgbo are looking for saints among them. As you have tempted to draw skewed analogies to this discussion through unfortunate insinuation, I would like to point out the difference between Yar adua and Okorocha. At least both characters were, for a moment, the chief executive officers of their respective states. Yar adua never substituted community crap for legally constituted local government because the chairmen were not PDP. Yar adua did not unseat the chairman of council of emirs in the state because the chair did not support Yar adua’s political ambitions. Yar adua never neglected any local government area because an indigene of the local government is a potential political opponent. Yar adua never falsely orchestrated the kangaroo-styled impeachment of his deputy because of financial and political gains. There was no single parastatal in Katsina State handed over to Yar adua’s cronies during his stewardship. Yar adua did not divert the printing equipment that belongs to Katsina State to his own printing business situated in a sister state. I must say that analogy of kindergarten and Phd is a silly attempt at obfuscation. Until the so-called Igbo chaps whom the Ndigbo saw to the corridor of power understand politics is all local, they will be sojourners after their tenures. |
