About us:
Paidvolunteers was founded by 3 friends in 2007 who got concerned
about how our young people are going. 80% of our young ones
cannot stay employed by themselves due to lack of skills.
Most are unemployed not because there is no job but for the fact that they
either cannot write a good curriculum Vitae or cannot defend the course they
read. Some have never worked before probably because they do not like
aptitude test and cannot afford any training for the skill that can keep them
employed without writing that aptitude test.
We provide service to public as well as private sectors of the economy.
At the moment we are focusing on skill acquisition of our adult and children
who need these skills to move to the next level of their life or start life
without going through the pains of application rejection.
Out of the whole lot we list few to include:
1. Entrepreneurial Building
2. Education

1. Entrepreneurial Building
There is nothing like being your own boss. It sometimes intoxicates but
every one desires it. I attended an interview with SEDCO forex some time in
the 90s; I made the best result that day, for the fact that I didn’t have a
sponsor who was their staff. When I was asked who my sponsor was I didn’t
really understand, I told them I had none. I was told that there is nothing
they could do for me. This was when I was working with Shell. One day my
boss called and was lamenting on how he met his friend who he left school
same time with after 18 years. He said “if I had continued my business, I
would have been better than making a living by now, my friend can even
employ me and pay me whenever salary I need” these were his words. And

I think so many people are in same shoes as my boss. So working for
someone else can never make you very rich like you would have been if you
were on your own. With this spirit that is why we have decided to train our
young ones to get empowered in all ramifications and be patient too.
2. Education
In paidvolunteers, we recognize that knowledge is power and one of the
easiest ways to acquire it is through training which is the process of
acquiring and developing skills, improving knowledge, teaching and trainin g
by those who are professionals in such fields of learning. Children as we all
know are the future for tomorrow so they are assets as well. A nation with
well trained professionals has competitive advantage. In order that that
Nations, Schools, governments, ministries, parastatals and corporate bodies
keep up with global standards, it is pertinent that their human and material
resources are continually developed and equipped and the young ones
empowered with modern skills and techniques in order to enable them carry
out their core competencies effortlessly. Our capacity development program
is more than just training and entails the following:
· Personnel Development; The process of equipping children with
advance knowledge , skills and access to information that will add
immense value to their capacity in carrying out their duties effectively
now and in the future.
· Organizational Development; The elaboration of talents amongst
children and teachers in public schools not only within schools but
also the management of relationships between the different schools
3. Talent Discovery and Development
One of the areas we concentrate on is discovering o ur children’s talents. NO
child is without talent. If you watch their work or performance, you will
have goose pimples. The internet has a wealth of information. I read in an
article long ago that geniuses can be made as well, not just innate or in-born.
The necessity of discovering such talents and training the child in that area
as early in life as possible cannot be over emphasized.

4. Scholarships
We have come to realize that good education is expensive to acquire and
sustain. In paidvolunteers however, we have reduced the cost of training to
make it affordable to those who cannot afford it else where. Our scholarship
is once every year for children of all ages; the only requirement is being a
student at the time. We believe in merit, for that reason we arrange an
examination, pick out the best/outstanding student, for a scholarship award.
Benefits:
By registering for any of these courses, you are supporting this cause;
to make our young ones knowledgeable via:
· Increasing the quality of students produced
· Empowering the young generation to be independent
· Developing a self reliant spirit
· Reducing the risk associated with loss of information in our society
· Enlightenment, and, or upliftment of socio-cultural values.
· Quality Entrepreneurial activity.
