THE NIGERIA OF MY DREAM
Nigeria is a country that is filled with milk and honey, Blessed with enough natural resources which are envied by neighbouring countries and other countries in Africa. Nigeria is a country filled with talented patriots in every sector.
I dream of a Nigeria where Nigerians love each other, where tribalism and religion will not cause crisis that will limit the movement of our country to its promise land. I dream of a country where young people will have positive belief in their country. I dream of a country where every Nigerian will fight corruption starting from the home since charity begins at home. I believe Nigeria has what it takes to be like world power countries. I dream of a Nigeria where its citizens don’t rush to develop and invest in other countries but believe that something good can come out of Nigeria and believe in developing Nigeria. I dream of a Nigeria where people will follow the footsteps of people like Aliko Dangote and Mike Adenuga who became one of the richest in Africa and in the world by investing in Nigeria. Dangote and Adenuga are clear examples that investing in Nigeria can give Nigeria a scene in the international scene bringing more investors in Nigeria.
I dream of a Nigeria where education will be giving a high priority because without education we cannot compete with other developing countries in the world. I dream of a Nigeria where money will be invested in research and development. I dream of a Nigeria where the media will start portraying good image about Nigeria. The media has a lot of roles to play in the awareness of a country. I dream of a country where Nigerian bloggers will not use their blogs to say evil of Nigeria by promoting developments and improvements in the country rather than more of the evils. I dream of a Nigeria where leaders don’t find themselves but put the interest of the people they are serving at hand. I dream of a country where young people will be given opportunities to contribute their ideas and quota in the development of Nigeria.
On Entrepreneurship, I dream of a country where entrepreneurship education will start from primary school to give young Nigerians the basic concepts in entrepreneurship to become independent. I dream of a Nigeria where young graduates use the skills they acquired in the University to be independent. I dream of a country where graduates don’t depend on the Federal government for job but create jobs for themselves. I dream of a country where young people who are the future leaders don’t spend most of their time on frivolities but think of possible solutions to the problems of Nigeria. I dream of a Nigeria where we are not just after certificates but knowledge to improve the situation of our country Nigeria. I dream of a Nigeria where people go for political positions not just for money but to change the lives of the people they are serving.
I dream of a Nigeria where a good orientation of Nigeria will be given to kids from kindergarten, the orientation given to the future leaders will take Nigeria to the promise land. I dream of a Nigeria where young people will bend down to study their books and say No to examination malpractice. I dream of a Nigeria where parents don’t support their children in examination malpractice but encouraging them to become better citizens of Nigeria. I dream of a Nigeria where parents don’t force their children to study a course different from what they have passion for. Change is the only thing that is constant, I believe Nigeria is still the giant of Africa and i know that my dream for Nigeria will come through if we all start by believing in Nigeria and starting from our individual homes to make impacts in the developing of Nigerian
