The root cause of any crime is greed so how do you propose this gets tackled when it is permanently embedded in the blood flowing through most Nigerian's veins.

Kidnapping is a fall out of the inequality that exists between the rich and the poor. it is the only way the poor man can get his share of the national cake. The Police are not overly worried about the life of the kidnapped but the fact that they could be outnumbered, outsmarted and outgunned in any given kidnap situation.
