Even when that time show face, credit still goas to OBJ and not worthless and incompetent aso rock dullard because OBJ built all the power stations coming on line or already commissioned, even power sector transformation remains OBJ's brain child...

......but we'll give the dullard and his shepo wife the credit for pettiness and other troublesome acts in places like Rivers and political disruptions in Anambra and other places..

All I would say is "serves OBJ right!" He brought about this mess called Jonathan and now he can get rid of it!

To hell with them both!

lol...Eko ile the fact remains that GEJ launched the power sector roadmap in 2010 and have vigorously pursued it and it has attained a point of no return with the recent successful payment for the firms by the prefered bidders...so even if you choose to disagree, 'right thinking' Nigerians know who to give credit to...

Rephrase your question for proper understanding..

1MCN: If GEJ has performed dismally and has wholly lost public approval, no need for the call for him to jettison his 2nd term ambition. If he's a woe then opposition should rather hope he's fielded by the PDP.
A better idea to me is that he should be impeached.

So that is the situation we met but we found that Obasanjo’s regime had covered a very positive and important mileage in the power sector, that is the establishment of the Electricity Power Sector Reform Act of 2005. That Act was essentially aimed at reforming the sector with the realisation that NEPA as an authority that prevented anybody else from generating electricity or distributing electricity was not in a position to solve Nigeria’s power problem - Professor Bart Nnaji

The so called road map was just talk, not landmark deviation or occurrence like OBJ's legislative and constitutional victory that changed the power sector game for good, it made it possible for the dullard to string together the term Road Map .

The road map and the constitutional act he scored in 2005 remains OBJ's road map and monumental achievement and he backed it up with many power stations worth 1500MW while GEJ apart from his road map jingle and buzz words is yet to build 1 MW plant or do anything significant to help the power situation especially with the fact that we need to generate at least 1000MW/Year to keep up with our increasing demands for power.

GEJ is yet to add 1 MW and he's reaping off OBJ's work..

Btw, why do you people yell Eko Ile all over the place as if you just discovered the secrete behind slice bread or some kind of holly revelation instead of just addressing the topic..?

The current power capacity drops everyday with nothing to add to it of about 2600 megawatts.

The only Airport in Nigeria we can call Airport is MMA 2 built by Obasanjo ans concessioned to Bi Courtney. The rest are glorified and remodelled jetty. Even though, Obasanjo failed woefully, we didn't expect Pres. Jonathan to fail totally and disappointedly.

@awodman: Point of correction please. GEJ did not launch the power sector roadmap in 2010. He launched the continuation of Obasanjo's "National Integrated Power Project" (NIPP) which Yar'Adua had jettisoned for a new start. Jonathan was largely praised for continuing this Obj project in the hope that quick results will be achieved since Obj had already built 6 power stations before leaving.
