The weekly meeting of the Federal Executive Council ended a few minutes ago with the following ministers being relieved of their jobs: Ruqayat Rufai (Education); Zainab Kunchi (Minister of state for Power), Buka Tijani (Minister of state for Agriculture), Shamsudeen Usman (National Planning); Ita Okon (Science and Technology); Gbenga Ashiru (Foreign Affairs); Ama Pepple (Lands and Housing) and Hadiza Mailafia (Environment).
