It was after the lies that the recently sacked minister of state for power confessed that witches are behind the epileptic power situation in march 2013.
The truth is the excess rainfall is helping the dams hydro power generation.
When the water level falls in january to may, the epileptic situation returns.
While we can not say there are no efforts towards a better power generation and distribution, it is still far from being an uhuru.
For year 2013, the improvement starts in my area in early august. I am sure this will continue till december because the water levels in our dams are rising. Govt had raised an alert for people living in Niger and benue lowlands again. When it receedes in january and february, the power situation will start its new year epilepsy.
This does not erase the fact that there will will still be localized regularity in places closed to dams,power stations or places with higher priorities

I don't know how this NAN came about their conclusion on PHCN improvement.What what statistical method did they use? In Olowora, for the past two month the power supply is more than worst,we only ve supply in the night and am very sure omole phase2 is also affected.
Pls tell us ur story/experience with PHCN in ur area. pls don't forget to mention ur area.

It pains me whenever I remember that all what we do in Nigeria is politics of acrimony rather than that of ideology. Can somebody remind me population and economic endowment of South Africa vs their electricity generation capacity.


It is worrisome we will keep getting what we have been getting cause we keep doing what we have been doing.

Let us stop this campaingn of seeing political opposition rather than seeing critical national calamity. We are far from development if we keep celebrating 3400mw of electricity irrespective of whose light is costant on paper!

Which side of Lagos are you? For me the fact dt few place or some areas ve light does not amount to power stability in the country.

Im happy for those neighborhoods that have been enjoying power..I can't say same for mine though: light only came back on Saturday after 6 weeks of total blackout- and there was no light when i lef home this morning

3,400MW and there is improvement all over the country. Don't be sacarstic, maybe with 4000MW some e-crocodiles will announce 24hrs power supply all over naija.

Nigerians should not be measuring improvements in the power sector based on perception or from memory. We are robbing Peter to Pay Paul with rotating power supply to consumers. This is not improvement! How can you improve your power supply when you have not been able to grow your generation supply or transmission capacity/backbone over the years. This is a perceived improvement and not an actual improvements based on reliability metrics.
