Traditional rulers in the Federal

at all times.
Some of the traditional rulers
gave the pledge in an interview
with the News Agency of Nigeria
(NAN) in Abuja.
They spoke during the
installation and presentation of
staff of office to four traditional
rulers.
Alhaji Hussaini Mam, the Agabe of
Ugbade, Gwargwada, said that
the installation of the traditional
rulers and the presentation of
staff of office to them
demonstrated the commitment of
FCT Administration (FCTA)
toward the development of the
territory.
“I promise to continue to maintain
peace and unity in my community,
because we are peace loving
people.
“I thank the ministers and promise
to give them my support, while
contributing towards the
development of FCT and
President Goodluck Jonathan’s
administration,’’ he said.
The Agora of Zuba, Alhaji
Mohammed Umar,
promised to intensify efforts
aimed at ensuring the success of
the administration’s
transformation agenda.
Umar, who was one of the newly
installed traditional rulers,
described his installation as
recognition of his contribution to
the development of his community.
“I will continue to bring new
innovations into my community; I
express my sincere gratitude to
the ministers for installing me and
giving me a staff of office,’’ he
said.
Also speaking, Alhaji Abdullahi
Adamu, the Etsu of Yaba, said: “It
is not easy to be installed by the
government; this is a milestone in
the history of our community.
“Today’s installation will no
doubt encourage me to do more
for the present government in
maintaining peace and promoting
development in my domain,” he
said.
Mr Ibraheem Yaro, the Esu of
Bwari, thanked the FCT ministers
for giving him the staff of office
and his people for their support
and cooperation.

installed traditional rulers include
Alhaji Mohammed Umar, the 25th
Agora of Zuba and Alhaji Hussaini
Mam, the 17th Agabe of Ugbada.
